Helen Clan Matron

Helen understands her position very well: she knows that she is not a pretty dragon, that she would likely have been forced to offer her services to one of the deities had Vianne and Zelophehad not permitted her into their clan. (And while exaltation is all very well and good, she has things she wants to do.)

And while she is grateful to them, she also recognizes that Vianne is no leader. Certainly her actions during Asunder's stay demonstrated this.

And so, no-nonsense dragon that she is, Helen assumed the role of Clan Matron, a duty that she takes very seriously. With practical efficiency, she makes sure all those things that need to get done to keep the clan functioning happen.

If, perhaps, she is a little imperious about it... well. It is because she cares. It is hard to care for these disparate individuals. Those under her watchful eye may not be her Charges, but she feels a duty towards this clan she leads, and she is honor-bound to do her best.

[Visiting dragons tend to assume that Kukulcan is the leader of the clan, since, as host of the Sunbeam Lanternhouse, he's typically the first dragon they meet. But Helen does most of the heavy lifting.]
