❧ AEGEUS Adventurous | Dignified | Trait | Trait As a young hatchling, Aegeus spent most of his time with his mother on the pirate ship. Although he loved working alongside her on the ship, Aegeus found himself captivated by the fashion trends whenever they landed in a port to trade for necessities. When he encountered Skybolt, Aegeus was intrigued by his appearance and mannerisms. This gentlemanly dragon was on good relations with his mother and his fashion sense was something that he had never seen before. During his stay on the ship, Skybolt always caught sight of Aegeus hanging around him when he worked on his pieces. Figuring that the young dragon had never seen something like this before, Skybolt warmly welcomed the young Warrior to sit by his side as he worked. To his surprise, Aegeus soaked up the knowledge like a sponge and before long, he was Skybolt's unofficial apprentice. When it came to the time for Skybolt to return to his clan, Aegeus had just finished his Warrior training and decided to follow his master. After biding farewell to his mother, Aegeus left the ship that he had spent nearly his whole life on.

On their way to Skybolt's home clan, Aegeus encountered a strange creature resting in the shallow depths of the Water Flight territory. It was an odd creature that he had never seen before; its upper half was similar to a humanoid figure and its lower half was like a dragon's tail. Upon seeing Aegeus, it hissed and quickly struck out. The fight concluded with the creature's death and Aegeus thought it would be a waste to leave the meat out for the birds to eat, so he consumed part of the carcass, thinking of bringing back the rest for his teacher. Soon after he swallowed his third mouthful, Aegeus knew something was wrong. He felt a burning pain passing through his whole body and knew nothing more. When he next woke up, he found Skybolt sitting beside him patiently. "You're lucky to be alive," the older coatl told him as he fed the Warrior a mouthful of fish, "Not many dragons manage to see a mermaid nowadays. And not all of them survive after consuming their flesh." Skybolt told him that the creature that he had seen was a mermaid, a creature from the ancient past. Very few of them survived the catastrophes that had occurred throughout the different Ages. Consuming a mermaid's flesh was a taboo among dragons at that time- apparently it brought upon the Mermaid's Curse, an affliction that caused the affected dragon to be unable to survive on land. It was then that Aegeus realised that he was partially submerged in a small stream beside Skybolt. Praesent sit amet gravida ipsum. Mauris gravida libero a tortor sollicitudin venenatis.
