CASSIEL
FALLEN – GOD
QUICK WITTED | CREATIVE | Determined
The ground under his feet was cold, dirt finding its way underneath his talons...much to his dismay. Cassiel wasn't one for getting messy. He preferred his clothes and body to be clean at all times if he could manage it. However, this trip was worth the dirt. It was worth the sun beating down on his face, and the way the wind would shake his bones. He was traveling to see something, something he had waited a long time to see for the very first time. He wasn't used to life on land, either. Let it be known that he came from a place far beyond Sornieth, a place that the mind cannot fathom, a place for people who dream. He dreamt of this, for years. Years he spent alone, aching to see the world for what it truly was. He felt his feet grow tired, but he pressed on through the trees and made his way to a grassy hill. He was almost there. He could almost see it for the first time. This was it. This was what he had been waiting for. He had been waiting to see the sunset. To most it sounded silly, but to him it was the world. Other dragon's wouldn't understand his need to see something so simple that they could see every day. This was something he heard to be so beautiful...something he wanted to see, while he still had the time. As he made his quiet way to the top of the hill and felt the scenery hit his face, he knew he was home. The sun fell quietly over the mountains in the distance. He could see hatchlings playing at the forest's edge, and dragons both flying and traveling by foot on their journeys home. He remembered why he wanted to be there. He remembered that the realm he stood in then was far better than anything anyone could have ever dreamed. Reality was a blessing. Lore by xylems |
