As the Archbishop of the Cathedral, Nephalem is said to one of the most devout within its crumbling stone walls. He regards his duty with utmost sacredness, devoting himself to the restoration, upkeep, and condition of the holy structure. He has always worn a veil, which some whisper is to hide his eyes, which surely must be searing with the Lightweaver's favour.

 Nephalem arrived at the Cathedral side by side with Piety on the invitation from Primus. Originally, he thought it simply a place where he might be able to revere the Lightweaver in peace, but soon found utter chaos within its walls in the wake of a plague that had wiped out half the inhabitants of the Cathedral.

Helping Primus and Piety restore order, he was named as Primus' successor, who took his duty to guard the Cathedral alongside Piety without hesitance.

He has always worn a veil, and it is said only Piety has seen what lies beneath; the rumours that circulate in whispers are varied. Some say he is blind, but seeks out the Lightweaver's foes with her favour; others say his eyes are too searing with holy purpose. Yet others think a more sinister reason might lie beneath, but Nephalem's devotion to the Lightweaver has never once been questionable.
