Knight was destined for greatness.

He cast it all aside when he met a renegade whom he couldn't kill, firstly out of a matter of skill and prowess, then later out of love.

Time has yet to prove if his choice was for the better or worse.

 Again and again Knight went to battle for the Lightweaver, scouring the lands of those whom defied or denied her. His devotion was absolute, unshakeable for many, many years. That is, until he came across another Imperial whom was an equal in his skills, and for reasons unknown to him defied the Lightweaver.

Again and again they clashed, until they both staggered away from one battle and eyed the other. "I cannot kill you," he said.

"No, you cannot," she replied.

The simple exchange was the first of many; their 'clashes' became that of the word, and they continued to meet to battle their wits against one another. Over time, they learned a great deal about one another, and eventually came to care for each other. To this day, Knight wonders if he is defying his own beloved Lightweaver with this union.
