Biography

ETRAEUS
THE STAR AUGUR

How often do the stars
foretell regicide, I wonder?

The one who peers at the stars, ever upward, ever upward. He advises both Nephalem and Piety, though some within the Cathedral treat him with wary caution, citing he cannot be trusted on account of his red eyes. For how can the children of the Plaguebringer be devoted to the Lightweaver?

Piety herself scorns these rumours, which keeps them as mere whispers.

Etraeus finds fascination in the stars and what stories they may share, in the shapes they weave against the inky black sky. His study resides within the uppermost parts of the spires of the Cathedral, and he seldom leaves, often writing or drawing out what he sees in the stars. He descends primarily to speak with Nephalem and Piety, and is given a wide berth by most others; their mistrust is something he doesn't concern himself with.

He often stays in his more humanoid form, as it is the only form that can travel throughout the Cathedral with ease, though every so often he casts open the windows of his study and flies to the roof as a dragon to peer at the stars.

It is said he can discern the past, present, and future from the skies; he allows his writings to be read by those whom show interest, and they find said books to be of the histories of Sornieth, writings of current-day events, and strangely worded scribbles of what is yet to come. These writings, in particular, are debated amoung the more philosophical of those whom reside within the Cathedral.
