Paladin was always righteous, but not in accordance with the Lightweaver. The god's favour was revoked, and ever since, Paladin has forged herself anew.

What caused her beloved god to recall Her favour, however, Paladin has never told.

 Once a devout templar of the Lightweaver's cause, Paladin has since been cast aside and disowned by her god. Heart full of anguish and fury, Paladin refused to give up her devotion, but no longer invoked the Lightweaver's name. Instead, she devoted herself to knowledge, to truth, to all that is implied with the Lightweaver's tenants.

One theory is that she dared question the Lightweaver's actions; another was that she asked why some of the Lightweaver's children were so fanatical when their duty was not that of bathing the entire world in light, but to educate and teach.

Whichever the case, she no longer carries the favour many of the Lightweaver's children enjoy, but her firm belief in sharing knowledge has allowed for her to reside within the Cathedral and share her own experience and perspective on matters.
