What makes a king?

Reign provides Monarch with both the brute force and legitimacy needed for his position. While she cares little for the spotlight herself, she enjoys elevating her beloved in the eyes of others, that they might see him as she does.

 Deep below the Cathedral, hewn into the cliffside, is an old stone port. There are water-logged ruins within the crumbled stone piers, and it is here where Reign often dwells. Her skills in hydromancy drew the attention of Monarch when he was looking for a second to help him keep the crypts in control, and after some convincing, she agreed.

Over the years, they formed a strong bond, falling into their roles of king and soldier fluidly enough that none in the depths of the Cathedral challenge their authority; how can they, when they see a crown upon Monarch's head, the proud tilt of Reign's head?

Furthermore, Reign adorns herself with the same regalia as Monarch, both to show her status and enhance her magic, as it is imbued with magical properties.
