Biography
ZESSI
Healer and Medium
This coatl is just as mysterious as she is colorful. An experienced healer and seer, her hissing, humming tongue only adds to her mystery, though she's actually quite the joker, like her close friend Drysk. When she's not busy scolding the coliseum fighters or clumsy hatchlings, she likes to borrow Drysk's cauldron and try to make new medicines. Sometimes she's successful... other times she's accidentally grown fungus on herself. In the end, though, she still has the best of intentions!... probably.
Originally from the harsh, desolate Shifting Expanse, she was a travelling medium for quite a while before being found by the clan while they were out digging for resources. When they approached the coatl, she simply gazed at them for a minute before congratulating Stryke on becoming a father and walking calmly away. After Zenith dropped by a few minutes later to tell inform them Drysk's first nest had hatched, Stryke immediately went looking for the colorful seer, inviting her to stay and eat with them. After that, they took her back with them to meet Ari, and she decided to stay with them, surprised that "so many fighters!" had survived so long without a healer.
Her graveyard guide and brawler bodyguard!
Like her Matriarch, she experiences visions and is a seer, though receives hers from the spirits of the dead. She communes with these spirits through rituals and dreams, and often discusses them with the other seer, who has more experience with foresight than she. On the side, she often travels to burial sites and graveyards, where her visions are stronger, though this often involves needing an escort or two, since she has zero regard for other species' boundaries or traditions. She often smells strongly of incense or herbs and is startlingly quiet. This is not appreciated by the more tense and jumpy members of the clan.
Aside from seeming a bit creepy and mysterious most of the time- probably because she tends to just drop her premonitions on other dragons in passing with very little explanation and then doesn't talk to them again for three or four weeks- she makes very good tea and is quite a good conversationalist, if you can understand her. Maybe it's better to just let her listen and offer her wisdom. She is a lot less creepy if you seek her out on your own for advice, because if she knows something you don't, she will tell you, often out of the blue and with zero context.
