NAME

Tenacious | Calculating | Warm | Loyal

A wispy and delicate hatchling, even among Spirals, Tyroka found some difficulty in keeping up with her brethren. Ridgebacks and Guardians, her nestmates and first friends, had no trouble in besting her during their many playful scraps. Feeling inadequate, yet driven to prove herself among her fellow Night Warriors, the young Tyroka took a spectator's role to the lair's spats, quarrels, and brawls. Through keen observation, she found that while the forceful, domineering fighting style of her stronger kin was impressive and effective, their hefty size made them slow to react.

Taking wing to consider what she'd learned, Tyroka enjoyed the ease with which her lithe body slipped through the forest canopy surrounding her home. Even the densest branches couldn't slow her as she wheeled about, deep in thought. Noticing a swarm of hummingbirds clustered around a bright flowering vine beneath her, she abruptly changed course and dove swiftly towards the unsuspecting flock. She shook a few stray feathers off as she returned to lazily flapping through the morning sky. She was always the only one among her peers to enjoy the little snacks - then again, the others couldn't manage to catch more than one at a time, if they were lucky.

At that moment, inspiration struck her. Amazed at her realization and eager to test her idea, she doubled back to her lair. The trees swayed and bent in her wake, and small fussing birds scrambled out of her path. Tyroka scanned the crowd of dragons beneath her as she approached her home, seeking a suitable target for her experiment. She spotted her sister, Kylara, under a vast mahogany tree, lazily gnawing at the cracked legbone of some massive beast. The Ridgeback's jaws splintered the bone easily as she held it in place with a heavy clawed paw. Steeling herself, Tyroka swooped down from the sky, deftly swiped the bone from her sister's grasp, and flung it into the mouth of a nearby cave, where a group of hatchlings descended upon it.

Kylara rose with a snort, a growl rumbling from deep within her broad chest. The sisters' green eyes met, and Tyroka responded with a snarl and a hiss. The challenge was accepted. With a bellow, the Ridgeback charged towards her Spiral sister, only to have her claws swipe through empty air where Tyroka once stood. A nip and scratch on her neck grew Kylara's fury, and she wheeled about in retaliation, again finding nothing. Their battle was short-lived as Tyroka's natural agility and shrewd battle sense quickly overwhelmed her furious opponent.

From her awakening as a nimble, wily warrior, Tyroka has embraced her natural gifts and sought ways to grow ever more adept at close combat.

Currently in repose from battle, Tyroka is spending her time training young dragons in the art of quick combat.
