  • Former leader of Wayfarer's Haven; whereabouts are currently unknown.
  • Proficient with swords; can summon a black-hilted Katana at will.
  • Cherishes children, though he secretly doesn't see himself worthy enough of having his own. Despite this, he gladly took Cindrii under his wing and raised him well.
  • Has a pure soul, which's referred to as a 'Prince of Heart'.
  • Was unknowingly tainted by the Shade because of how long he's lived (less immunity/resistance over time). It very gradually grows stronger, but can be easily fended off if another skilled healer cleanses what's built up (hence why he originally brought Niru on as his apprentice).
  • Thanks to having heard countless horror stories over the years, he believes that he'll infect others through simple skin-to-skin contact. This has led him to always be covered from head-to-toe when in the vicinity of others, and to be celibate.
  • The more ashen/dull his hide/skin, the more concentrated the Shade is. Also a tell to how much pain he's in.
  • Has a vampiric twin that originated as a Wraith. He suddenly dropped off Sornieth eons ago, but Katan always keeps an ear out.
  • Secretly yearns for physical touch (e.g. the ability to hold hands without needing gloves, kissing, etc).
  • Goes out of his way to try and avoid bringing attention to himself.
  • Highly respects nature and Beastclans.
  • Has the ability to shift to and from a wolf form. Because of the feud between dragons and beasts, he rarely uses it and keeps it a secret.
  • Makes an effort to be friendly with everyone, as long as they don't post a threat.
