Biography
An archer with spelled eyes that allow him to see a target from miles away and aim perfectly, Raily's go-to hunting method is to sit high on a cliff or tall tree and wait for prey to reveal itself bellow. All he needs is an an arrow's width of space to both see and hit the target. His source of income is providing freshly killed and expertly prepped meat and pelts at markets for those less inclined or unable to hunt. As a __ he doesn't need the money but he enjoys the fruits of labor from those still in the First Life, such as hand carved wood and honeyed sweets, and finds a simple joy in the jangle of coins. Only those he knows are doing well have to pay, however. No one in the Village of the First Life will ever go hungry so long as he's around, that's his word. Thus, his fondness for immersing himself in any market's hubbub is greatly encouraged.
His favorite things to hunt are moving targets, especially small ones like rabbits, birds and squirrels, since his eyes can only hone in perfectly on still or slow moving targets. Movement requires natural skill to compensate for, and he has plenty, but the farther away the prey the greater the challenge. He also takes joy in felling running deer since that can mean more than one goes down in a sort of car crash effect if he plans it right, at which point he will pick them off with an arrow to the heart in quick succession.
