Leviathan Cove

Immot was a chemist, much like Baldwin, and he would create things using his slimes and oozes. The dragon would create many things that helped the world thrive and evolve; however, Immot managed to mix his ingredients. He created something that seemed to destroy cells at an alarming rate. It could devour a plant in a mere matter of seconds. The dragon became fascinated with the virus. He called it a virus as no antibiotic could destroy it. The virus did not affect non-living things. It multiplied at a rapid rate using the resources for the cells to survive. Immot did all kinds of experiments with the virus. It was his greatest discovery!

The virus got loose. A creature had managed to sneak its way into Immot's lab, and it knocked the vial containing it off the counter. He had been using it to experiment on other types of plants as well as bugs. In his rush to save his creation, Immot cut himself on a piece of the vial. The virus rushed in --

Nobody really knows what happened to the virus. It mutated within the dragon's body. Many believe it had to do with the magic that coursed through his veins. It evolved. It didn't destroy a dragon. No, the virus broke down their brains. They fell into a primal state -- But, they still destroyed cells. A dragon infected with Immot's Virus would be deemed not alive. Their hearts do not beat. They do not seem to breathe. All they know is that blood smells delicious and they must get to it.

The virus spread throughout the lands when others discovered the slowly decaying chemist. Immot bit them. The virus did not infect others quick however. It took a mere two days before the effects kicked in to its fullest extent. This was how others discovered that managing to block the virus' way to the brain -- they'd be able to stop a dragon from loosing their sanity. Though, the half-undead are that -- they decay but at a slower pace. These dragons exhibit higher physical attributes as well. Many are used as defenders to fight against those that have been infected.

As the virus spread, many dens and lairs were decimated. Soon, survivors began to travel in whatever pack they could find. Leviathan's Cove is one of the more fortified locations for wary dragons to rest. Of course, they are still prone to attacks from the undead -- they have defender dragons to deal with them. Dragons are welcome to stay at the Cove for a time being to rest and recover. There are many other safe haven's within the world; however, the Cove is the most famous.

Of course, there are rumors of an Emperor roaming near Leviathan's Cove. Even the High Council is wary of that rumor ...

ye it's a very cool concept and there's something thematically appropriate about the writing of a zombie apocalypse being as slow as the zombies lol.

Thank you for all the kind words you've said about my lair and dragons! You're absolutely right; I'm a stickler for colors and take great pride in them. It's incredibly flattering that you were willing to follow me in multiple dragon share threads. Thanks

The standards are down to 20g unfortunately, but I can do the full 700 or the standards and 620 in mixed payments. Does that sound good?

I may have to bump it up to two standards and 590 because standards LAH has dropped to 55.
