Welcome to Dustwind Clan of the Reedcleft Ascent. Dustwind is guided by Leader and Alchemist Mara.

"Our Clan is small and still somewhat young, as is my experience as any sort of leader - but I am a teacher, and we are a family, and I believe all we need to prosper is within reach."

Dustwind is guided by Zorquan, Advisor Most Diplomatic; Stonekin, Advisor Most Old; Arcana, Advisor Most Magical; and Zyr, the Clan "Seer."

Unlike many clans deeply entrenched in the battle for dominance over Sornieth, Dustwind has boldly approached a variety of other clans in every other flight, extending olive branches and forging peaceful relationships with them. Their attempts occasionally fail, and have amassed a small league of knights, battlemages, assassins, and clerics for those times a difference in Flight is enough to provoke hostility. Despite this need for defense, their attempts at peaceful alliance among these select clans seem mostly successful...

...but to what ends remains to be seen.

Hey! I'm FlyCatcher. I’m 23, NB (any pronouns, they/them pref) US-based - FR Time +0. (Do message at odd hours if you feel inclined, it’s all good.) Happy to meet ya, and grateful for your stopping by!

I do my best to represent the Wind Flight and I love participating in Dom pushes, but I mostly just adopt adorable dragons for keeps and write insane quantities of lore for them. My favorite breed is the Spiral, which definitely isn't obvious or anything, but I love them all. I especially adore dragons who are colored & patterned to look like real-world reptiles and bird species, and hope to start a few pairs producing these “morphs!” Including that, I'm working on a number of breeding projects. I have a clawful of pairs I really love, but most of my babus are the products of two or three larger passion projects. If you're curious about what I've got going on, check my lair - Tabs 1 thru 4 house my dragons based on project and lore, whilst 5 lists my available dragons (and Kites, which are also up for grabs) - or just message me! My PMs are always open for any purpose. If you see a particular pair you adore and would like to request a nesting, same goes. Always willing to help.

I really enjoy Flight Rising lore and like roleplaying within it. If you'd like to start a new FR-RP, don't hesitate to invite me! Currently, I'm in one RP which I am deeply invested in.

Very slowly over time, I've been creating a few free-to-use art assets for Flight Rising forums and dragon bios. If you're interested in using them, they can be found linked below and at the very top of my userpage. They are few at the current moment, but steadily growing! If you use them, please follow the terms listed at the top of that thread.

One of the fun things I've recently begun doing is a little solo "RPG" featuring Galeracer, Clan Dustwind's resident "Monster Hunter." As he travels Sornieth, his bio, shoutout, outfit, and scene are all updated pertaining to the events that occur in those adventures! Everything is based on dice rolls, so the events that go down are not pre-determined. Even I don't know for sure what he'll get up to! If you'd like to see his current quest, visit his page. If you want to get involved in his adventure and make it yours also, send a PM! You could end up with some little rewards!

If you enjoy reading lore, short stories, funny comics, or ridiculous imaginary chatlogs if you're feeling unusually specific, I recommend checking out my journal! It's mostly just for my own personal entertaiment here on Flight Rising, but I also intend to open it up for fellow lore-lovers and creative writing/rp-enthusiasts to exchange confidential letters between clans! Since Dustwind is heavily preoccupied with diplomatic efforts among flights despite the eternal battle for that sweet, sweet Dominance, I figure in-character letters between important clan members could be a very interesting topic to explore. Don't be afraid to comment if that seems neat to you! It's not something that needs a whole lot of introduction as a concept (since it's most likely been done many times before) so I don't think it'd be a problem if you simply went for it!
