about the clan It is often said that no dragon may learn magic from a second flight. For many - especially those found abandoned as eggs - that may be true, but most of the dragons of Split Heartwood defy that law, whether it be naturally, magically, or mechanically. They come from every corner of Sornieth, seeking a safe home together. The clan's matriarch, Rosewilt, has spent years leading them from flight to flight. Now they burrow deep beneath the Earth surrounding the Ancient Pillar, well protected by the harsh wasteland and the high rim walls. The soil here is warm and welcoming, the stones strong, and the caverns filled with ancient treasures and lost history. The neighbors are few and quiet, but kind. It is wonderful, and the dragons of Split Heartwood would be happy to put down roots. Look for the ring of hardy flowers growing around a heavy metal door with a cracked tree etched on it. Knock twice. Visiting dragons who have a loving heart and good intentions should try some of the cookies from the main hallway jar. Candycomb is a talented chef. If they don't have those qualities?
