This is simple: There are five levels. You can be at each level per familiar you take home. The cost is the price for us to come in and upgrade your housing to that level. If you jump levels, you still have to pay for those in between. If you happen to buy more Cobras* than your housing allows, not to worry! We will hold your Familiar(s) for [b]One Week[/b] to give you time to get funds together to upgrade. They are currently our most abundant and most needing of new homes! We will have a post lower down with currently available, which will be updates as more eggs are laid and hatched! They have no unique markings and are a basic familiar. These are the cheapest and most abundant for adoption. More morphs will become available as time progresses. Some will be natural, and some will be... [i]individual[/i]. See our [i]Exposure[/i] section for what I mean. As for adoption directly, you have several options. You get permission from two snake's parents, fill out the form and send in the fee to breed (this is based on the egg price of the highest value morph), and 1-5 eggs are produced! The person that sent the breeding fee gets first choice, and can choose to adopt at any age. Owners of the bred snakes get next choice. Any unclaimed eggs are put into the next cycle of restock. Remember, I need to see the permission from both owners before they can be bred! They want one and adopt as an egg. One of the bred snake parents wants an egg, so they pay for the adult version of that egg. The last egg is unclaimed and goes into the adoption pool. If the egg shows no morph, it is treated as a common. These eggs often do have a morph or inherited exposure, but it just isn't visible until hatching. Say Person A wants to age up their egg. How do they do that? They will pay half the cost of the age they want. So if Egg looks like a Common Morph Cobra, they pay 50g to age it up. It may end up with a morph or exposure, but there is no added price if the egg does not show a morph. If you are aging a hatchling that has a morph, they will go by that morph's fee. Simple, no? There is an abundance of magic and wonder in the Sornieth, and it seems these Familiars can be influenced by this! Therefore, we are calling this mechanic [i]Exposure[/i]. All science aside, if a Cobra* is exposed to something specific for a long enough time or created a bond with something or someone (like a child with their blanket perhaps). This will sometimes cause a change in the Cobra* itself! For example, one exposed to a Manticore may replace its hood with pseudo wings or gain a scorpion tail. For now, we are not quite ready to begin adopting out Exposed Cobras*. However, if you wish to experiment with your own, we are happy to facilitate! We do charge a fee to keep all involved safe, however, and keep the item afterwards. This is a two-part system, but is very easy to follow: [quote] {The approximate current price of the exposed item on LAH} + {Level of Exposure}.** **Minimum price = 50% Cobra* sell value. [color=blue]Levels:[/color] Low (50%), Medium (100%), and High (200%). These levels indicate the level of exposure, which means how much change the Cobra* will take on. [/quote] So, for example. You choose an item worth 20g and send it in with your Cobra*. You ask for Low exposure. This totals to only 10g. If your Cobra* is a Common morph, the minimum set price is 50g. So, in total, you send us the item you're exposing and 50g. Your Cobra* will come back with a very small change thanks to their exposure. Perhaps they had a color change in a small area or they now produce a berry from one of their spines. High exposure can cause extreme changes, as expected. You can expose your Familiar multiple times to the same or different things, but only one item at a time and some Exposure will overwrite older Exposures. All FR items/dragons/etc. are game (for dragons, I ask you send in a scroll and a link to the dragon for color matching), but I will also consider outside exposures on a case-by-case basis. Well I suppose we will make it happen one way or another, eh? This section is tentative, since attire can be Exposed, but the two may look very different. All FR items are a possibility, and I will consider outside items too. And also dressing a snake may prove extremely difficult. Like, how is anything going to stay on? So, for now, we will say testing is under way, and until I have a better idea how to do this, we will say this: Simple wearables: 50% a Cobras* adoption price. Complex wearables: 100% a Cobras* adoption price. This one I'm open to suggestions on, as well as better pricing, ideas, etc. Thanks!
