I went to see the boats and fell in love, and I hung out with the crew all weekend (when I should have been studying for finals but it’s okay because I am doing fine in school as it is!). We hung out on the ships and on land at gaming cafes, and I made a couple of really good friends in a short amount of time, both on the larger ship, the Lady Washington (the smaller sister vessel is named the Hawaiian Chieftain). The ships left Monday morning after a goodbye party the night before, but during the time with the Lady Washington crew I was told that I could come work on the ship for a few weeks! With school still in full swing, I couldn’t just pick up and run off with the crew of a gorgeous brig like the Lady Washington, but I’ve decided that at the end of my summer schooling in late June/early July, I am going to do the two-week hands-on internship! The whole project—paying for my housing, food, training, and transportation costs—will be upwards of 800 dollars. After a lot of medical and personal investments (I just had to pay for my application for a residential permit in another country, and it cost a lot more than I thought it would??) I will need some help getting to that 800. So I am [b][url=http://www.sabythfaywrites.com/commissions.html]OPENING COMMISSIONS[/url][/b]! I am just about done with the commissions I have already, so there are plenty of slots available for those interested in a commission or two! I am taking all sorts, both digital and traditional, so check out all of those examples and types! I am also going to paint for a lot of the time there on the ship, so I will be making ocean and boat themed paintings and drawings before/during the sail. I will be selling those sorts of things, specifically postcards and playing card-sized paintings and ink art. (there are some practice doodles below :>) I will be posting those as they get done for sale her and on other sites. Equally, I’m going to do some YCHs, character adopts/auctions, and I am selling some of my personal stuff her in person. I am going to get on that ship! I can’t let this opportunity pass me by! So help me out if you can by getting a commission/character adopt/finished themed painting, or by sharing this post! Thank you so much for any help! @toastings yes I was planning on selling the original paintings, no prints made of them, and shipping them out to whoever buys them! I can also laminate them if desired, and I won't be charging more for lamination so it's entirely free and optional. I am hoping to do some pieces soon, but any time during the month I should be doing a few of them at least. Would you like me to ping you whenever I post a photo of them in order to see if you would like one? :>
