Tbh, I haven't got anything concrete for this guy. x'D But I do have some headcanon points I'm tossing around:
-- he's some sort of nature spirit/elemental, closely tied to water -- I'm picturing quiet lakes or deep pools, but not rivers or oceans
-- originates from the deep, dark bamboo forests of the Windswept Plateau
-- I like to think that he's calm and quiet, but at the same time also mischievous and playful
