So what ARE you trying to do, exactly? There doesn't appear to be a theme (besides Gen1)!
I guess it is a bit of a weird mix (though there seems to be a weird lean towards orange and blue but uh... even though they're my favorite colours, honest it was a fluke). I don't like the idea of limiting myself to just one thing! There so many colours on the site it'd be a shame to only play with a few. So I'm trying lots of stuff! Basically if I see a Gen1 with really cool colours I can get you right now I'll want it and then look for a Gen1 that would make a pretty set of kids. Usually that means at least a primary or secondary colour range I find appealing. Which can be different. Similar ranges in both, or a tight range in one with a really wide range in the other. I don't have a colour preference *cough*exceptorangeandblue*cough* so really it's a bit of a... Hodge-Podge.
Why Hodge-Podge?
See the above. I didn't want to limit myself (though Gen1 can be a bit limiting) and I wanted the name to reflect that.
Why Gen1?
I sort of stumbled into it, actually. X'D When I first joined my flight was doing a push for dominance. I wanted to help so I bought a bunch of adult dragons and trained them (didn't know trained dragons were worth more for exalting back then, but I couldn't take the treasure loss to NOT train them). I grew to like a lot of my dragon exalt fodder and noticed a lot of them had nice colours that went with my other dragons. Then I noticed they were Gen1 and sort of... got rid of my non-Gen1 and well... Here we are.
I noticed you have dragons in your lair that AREN'T Gen1, what's up with that???
I either won them or bred them and really liked them. Feddle and Hafpoeth are also my main fighters and they've been with me awhile now. Gen1 breeding is fun but if there's a dragon out there I like I'll keep it for sure. C:
Some of your ungened pairs of Gen1s are listed here, and others aren't, why is that?
Might be that I haven't made their pictures yet, might be that I'm still not sure if I'll make them an actual project. It's hard to say. I don't make a lot of treasure of gems on FR (it took me MONTHS to get Giela and Glaedar where they are) and a pairing that might have been REALLY EXCITING a few months ago might not be anymore. Pairs might change, I might find a better partner, it's all very fluid.
I'm a bit of a "you take what you can get" breeder, honestly. I like making what might not be considered a classic beauty to some into something I personally like, and that I hope others will love just as much. I rarely think to myself, "What's the pretty pair I'll make today" and more, "Wow, that person is selling a really cool looking/ugly looking/beautiful/eye searing/dull Gen1! If it was a ____ and had ___..." And suddenly there's a new dragon in my lair (and my wallet is suddenly much lighter).

The Hodge-Podge Hatchery is finally being put together! Hopefully she'll be in good enough shape to officially open soon! I'm really excited! Wish me luck!

The first clutch hatched today from Giela and Glaedar and we sold two already! Ah how exciting! With the funds from the first bab (and 40k I already Had) I expanded my lair. So excite! I feel really good about my hatchery.

Gargoyles hatched yesterday AND I've bought the Seraph gene for Alannah, which is on-loan to Tormund until their next breeding. I'll slap it on just before they breed for guaranteed DG. Very excited!

Might be a bit spotty for actually being online for the next little while. Looking into getting a new laptop. I have money saved up just a matter of finding the right one, ordering it, kissing my money good bye. But yeah, spotty online access until I figure out exactly what's what. *sigh*

So new computer is ordered and on its way. Also got a gifr from my Secret Santa today and with it a new (well sorta' new) breeding project. I'll make a search thread when I get home.
ALSO! A good friend of mine gifted me a Gen2 3Gened Imp and a Gen1 3Gened Skydancer both UNBRED! (This was awhile ago, sorry bud)
So... When I have my computer there will be more pairs going up. :P

.... Long time no see. I went on a long hiatus and now I'm back and I've updated my images and stuff. @
