Welcome to the Hidden Temple Hatchery!
Deep within the jungle, where the light tangles itself in the canopy, scarcely hitting the forest floor... there exist the ruins of an ancient temple. Inhabited by dragons and ancient spirits alike, the ruins remain a quiet fixture in the deep forest. Now, come on in, you have nothing to fear, friend. The denizens of this temple are gentle and hospitable... usually.

1. Each pair has lore to go with it, but you are not at all required to follow it! The lore is just for fun, feel free to write your own or keep your dragons lore-free, it's up to you.
2. By purchasing a hatchling, you may obtain a badge relating to that pair! Please only take badges for pairs you have purchased from.
3. Each hatchling will have a link back to the hatchery in their bio. You may move the link or remove the image, but I'd be very grateful if you keep a link back here somewhere in your bio.
4. You are completely allowed to take a dragon from this hatchery for use in your own! But if you do so, please please link back to this hatchery somewhere with the pair.
5. First come, first served. If you find a dragon and click it to see it's been purchased already, well... sorry :(
6. I reserve the right to add more rules as necessary! But, y'know, hopefully it's not necessary.

You would have never found this place if not for the ethereal guides that would bounce in and out of your vision. They moved like smoke, their ghostly forms wrapped around an iridescent, pearl-like skeleton.
The spirits of the deep forest are not malicious, seemingly, but are instead playful and even a bit mischevious. They would guide you away from any genuine danger, but you swear to have heard a giggle whenever you stepped in something questionable. After you've proven yourself to be a courteous guest, one of their own curiously asks if they can return to your clan with you.

Deep within the temple, you come across a luminous pool of green slime, its glow giving faint light to the entire room. You approach with some apprehension, feeling anxiety down to your claws, and nearly fall over stumbling backwards when bubbles begin to form along the surface.
The animated slimes climb out of the pool, their luminescent, translucent bodies dripping the same substance they just emerged from. You feel the instinct to turn and run, but... they make no moves of aggression. Instead, you find they are playful and friendly, and by the time you've finished bonding with the family of odd creatures, a few of the youngest wish to follow you home.

Oddly enough, while walking the perimeter of the temple grounds, you notice some trees that are out of place. Tall conifers stand tall, their dark trunks and needles standing out amongst the tangled vines of the deciduous forest around you. It's perhaps not impossible for a few out-of-place trees to exist, as this is a forest, but...
The dryads appear from behind, perhaps noticing your stare. They moved here from a different forest, their natural energies bringing their trees with them. They're friendly folk, if a bit uptight and formal, and you can see the sparkles of adventure within the eyes of the youngest dragons.

Remnants of the Shade exist everywhere, not just in the Southern Icefields. Though few Gaolers would stray from their home, necessity may bring them farther than they intended to go. Without the cold winds to chill their hearts, the Jungle Wardens of the temple grounds are not nearly as distant and stoic as their frosty counterparts. They are still by no means as friendly as their modern Tundra descendants, but it's clear after speaking with one that a heart still beats under the matted fur.
Of course, their duties must come first, above all else. That is why... well, they may offer to return to your clan with you when the day is done. This is certainly only because of their duty, and not because of any attachment they have formed with your clan. Of course. This is a purely professional affair.
(That is, at least, what they want you to think.)
