Hawthorne is a kelpie, and Liz is a huldra, so these kids are a strange sort of shapeshifting hybrid. Having been raised by these parents of theirs, they may have difficulties assimilating seamlessly into draconic society. Some are able to change their appearance to fit in, others don’t care to try. Physically, their true form looks similar to that of a kirin, but their humanoid forms vary in appearance. Each hatchling is named after a flower or plant. Generally speaking (but not always), the kids from this pair will be mischievous, unusually physically strong, and tend to have an intense affinity for water, nature, and raw meat. Sova is a harpy resembling a snowy owl, and Altai is an odd fey being with many horns and snow leopard like features. These hatchlings are suited to cold and harsh environments, able to scavenge and survive in places that even some ice dragons wouldn’t dare step foot. Some of the kids are more feline in the face, but most have their mother’s more humanoid face. They typically have horns, feathers, wings, and tails, and most have pale skin with limbs that fade to a dark black. Personality wise, they have a lot of variety. Some are sly but easygoing, others are cold-hearted and solitary; Some outgoing and social, some borderline feral. Most are proficient hunters and knowledgeable with preserving hides and making tools. Pixies, huldras, kelpies, dryads, and so on. Limerick is the oldest entity in these woods. He is the protector of its residents, and watches over his fellow fey and other non-draconic creatures. Philena is a faerie, small but very magically adept. She likes to tend to the plants and creatures of the woodlands in her spare time, which has gained her Limerick’s friendship. When Limerick and Philena are near one another, the excess of their combined magical essence splits apart from them, floating away like dandelion seeds. These wisps of pure magic gently float down to the forest floor; When they land, they will either simply sprout a small plant, or they will give new life and a new form to whatever it is they landed on. These newly formed creatures - Young pixies, sprites, faeries, etc - become residents of the forest, joining the others and filling the air like fireflies. Some may decide to venture out of the woods to explore the world around them, looking for somewhere new to call home.
