You find quite a curious place: large windows let a perfect amount of sunlight into the atrium, making it easy to see the numerous multicolored spheres that are set up in groups around the room. Some of them have little white v-shaped tails attached to them. To your left is a handful of displays, each small box housing some oddly shiny, lumpy rocks. To the right is a doorway with painted stars surrounding it, with a whimsical sign reading "Gift Shop". You hear the gentle rustle of a fluffy mane and look to see an Imperial behind a long, low white desk--well, really curled [i]around[/i] the desk, on account of her size. She greets you with an excited smile.[/columns][/center]
[columns]"Welcome, welcome to the Zephyr Observatory! I take it you are curious about the wonders of the universe?" she says with cheer. "Well, [i]wonder[/i] no longer! We have exhibits detailing the many discoveries found at this very site; you can see the beginning of them to the left, starting with our handful of meteorite samples. There's even one you can touch--just mind the claws, please!"
By now she has stood and is gesturing at those weird rocks. "Our scientists and volunteers occasionally roam the exhibits to enhance the visitor experience. Some of them are a bit...[i]focused[/i], but they adore answering questions. Every evening at sunset we host curated viewing parties as well. And of course, at the end of your visit, please take a gander at our gift shop for the perfect souvenir to support the observatory! Although if you ask me," she leans closer and drops her voice conspiratorially, "you're better off skipping the cheap toys in there. The [i]real[/i] best souvenir is an adoption!

A small donation gives you a framed illustration of the new star or planet based on what we've seen, and you can suggest a name for it as well. Obviously there are a few limitations, but we've selected some pretty creative names over the years." At this she chuckles and starts to walk the few steps with you to the start of the exhibits.
"Oh, and of course seeing as we rely on clear skies for our observations, we have a state of the art meteorology lab here. We can't predict the future--though, it is ironic that a Water dragon runs the lab--but with specialized instruments we can measure temperature, pressure, and other physical quantities and tell what the weather will be like for the next few hours. We've had some pretty strong storms come through at times, and sometimes we put them up for adoption alongside the celestial bodies, especially if they end up breaking something." She stops at the darkened entrance to the exhibits and flicks her tufted tail at the doorway. "And with that, I hope your visit is enjoyable and educational!"[/columns][/center]
