I noticed in the gem shop for familiars that the helpful (You have X) label under the picture doesn't count in familiars stored in the vault, only those in the hoard/equipped to a dragon. I don't know if this is the same for other gem items because I don't have any.
Just thought I'd point it out in case no one has.

I'm not sure if its actually intended or not, but it seems to be how the vault works because familiars moved to your vault also vanish out of your beastiary.

If disappearing from the bestiary is intended behavior than there's still a bug around here. EDIT: or wonky image caching somewhere maybe?

Dandy: this is one of the effects of the vault; all items in the vault are excluded from use for other site features, the only exception being the bestiary. I urged other people who noticed this before, and found this annoying to make a suggestion for it.
