TOPIC | Jittering/Hover Problem
So This has been going on for almost as long as I've been using Flight Rising. I can't seem to hold my mouse over items when sending them in messages or in Baldwin's. It now even won't work in Crim's.
It just started happening for the skins/accents and food/items in the site updates as well. I can't just read the hover text. It shoots my screen down a page.
I'm using Chrome, my view is zoomed 200% at all times, and I know this has happened to multiple people.
It happened briefly to my boyfriend who plays FR as well (he also uses Chrome, but it stopped after a day. We've tried clearing my chache, CTRL+F5 and nothing has gotten it to stop.
Any ideas why it's been going on? I'm just curious at this point because I actually just changed computers too and this kept on keeping on.
Any ideas are welcome! Even theories at this point too!

Please do not bump bug threads. This makes tracking bugs harder for developers and falsely spreads bugs. If you have any new info, you're more than welcome and encouraged to add it.

Please keep in mind that while they frequently check the Report forum, developers and admins typically will not reply to threads unless it becomes a wide spread bug that effects game play. Not all bugs can be addressed right away either - they have a mile long list of bugs, some as old as the site and many of which will be handled when the site rewrite is launched. This will take time, however, as they're working the site from the ground up and there is a lot to fix.


As far as your bug is concerned,

I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that your screen is zoomed in so far. Try zooming out to 100% and see if it happens.

Thank you for the information, I have also tried unzooming and it still happens, I also know that this has happened to multiple people, it's just it only happens for about a day, then it stops. So it goes unnoticed and unreported.
I can't function on my computer with the screen unzoomed.

This is the one with the best accessibility features. Thank you for your help but until a sighted person has persisted trouble across multiple browsers, I probably have to deal. Thank you for your help to at least tell me to stop saying that I'm having trouble using one of the few games I can play easily.

The admins are the ones that ask that we not bump threads for the reasons I mentioned in my original reply. Not to tell you to stop, but because its more or less a rule of this forum. Like I said, as long as you have new information, there is no harm in posting but if its just a "still happening" type post, it counts as a bump. Believe me, I understand your frustration - I've had several bugs persist like that, bugs that I've felt have been ignored because I was apparently the only one to have the problem.

I'm sorry this causing you such a headache. Beyond what I've suggested and what you have done, the next thing I can suggest is writing to the staff via the Contact Us and see what they say.

Thank you for understanding and I'm sorry I'm so frustrated. I have sent an email to staff weeks ago and heard no reply. Which is why I posted here, to see if anyone had a more basic solution to it. I understand they're busy, but it gets to the point of concern? I don't know. I don't want to bother them too much. I'm just exasperated at this point.

It helps the developers isolate and narrow down the issue, which helps them resolve it faster. Basically what they're looking for is this info:


Date/Time when the bug was experienced
Reproducible steps
Dragon, Thread, Post, or Message ID number (where applicable)
System information
-Operating System and version
-Browsers used and version
-Device type
-Connection type: home, school, work, wireless, connected, mobile data
-Antivirus program


If you know any of the people that had or are having the same problem, encourage them to reply to this post with the same info above.

Thank you so much for this information it's very helpful! I'll look through the bug report forum and see if I can round up the few people that I saw had the snap down problem and have them reply to this.
