So I was playing the Coli right now, and I was in The Forgotten Cave.

I came across 3 Bogsneak Puppets, and I killed them. (Yay!)

Except, instead of being directed to the rewards (bit that shows you what your loot is and your EXP), I was just greeted with a couple of minutes of my dragon floating and just not really doing much of anything, with the other two dragons from my party just laying there dead (because they died during the battle, that's not part of a problem)... XD

So, was that just a lag thing? I ended up refreshing the page (*sobs... I may have lost loot), but that's just standard lag, right?

Hello @Wendla -- we just addressed an issue causing excess slowdown in the Coliseum. We have a fix that should significantly improve the situation within the next hour or so!

@Mutron Not sure if this is the right place to comment but I've been experiencing the same issue almost exactly both pre and post coliseum restart: At random during battle the coliseum with seemingly lag or go unresponsive.

Nothing looks unusual, enemies still animate, but buttons will be completely unresponsive. It seems to happen most often when it's one of my turns to pick an attack- the attacks will be unselectable/unresponsive and waiting doesn't seem to help.

I actually haven't managed to have a fight in the coliseum that hasn't ended in this lag/freeze even once this Night o Nocturne, effectively rendering Coliseum unplayable and the event specific stuff unavailable to me. :c I can live without it, since I'm not a completion-ist, but I hope it's fixed eventually! Perhaps the info about it most often happening during attack selection will be helpful to you somehow.

If you kill a creature that has two consecutive turns after your killing attack the game freezes.

I am in a game where I just won against 3 mimics, but it will not finish. This is the 8th time today. I have gone through all my food since the game counts it as a loss.

Even after the coli fix it's still lagging and slow for me, I can't go for more than a few battles without the animations slowing to a crawl. It's been like this for over a full day now, and it's been hours since the coli reboot.

@Mutron sorry but I don't know that the coli fix actually fixed everything.

Are you guys using safari by chance? I was having the same issue (changed the sockets, cleared my cache, restarted the browser, used the "safe link" of the coli, etc) and recorded my struggles here. Haven't been able to get through more than two or three rounds in the coli without it freezing up.

I switched over to chrome and so far I haven't run into that problem. *knock wood*

@Mutron

Idk if that video would be useful at all to you guys.

Browser: Safari
Game Socket: tried normal & alt, no difference
Cache: cleared; logged out of FR, cleared cache, completely closed safari and reopened, no difference
Safe link: tried, no difference

It's been like this since the start of NOTN, but I haven't been playing the past couple of months due to RL responsibilities so idk if this is a recent issue or recurring one. I can't seem to get through more than two or three (if that) rounds without it freezing.

I opened the coli in Chrome and it DOESN'T appear to be having the same problems. *knock wood again*

I am using Chrome and when a monster dies from bleed when it is going to attack twice in a row the game freezes.

@SolarRush Yeah! I also posted information into the Night of the Nocturne bug report thread but I can copy it here too! For the record I narrowed it down to having something to do with Meditate, perhaps we can troubleshoot and narrow it down even more! Here's what I put in the other thread:

Browser(s) Used: Safari

Browser(s) Version: Version 10.0.1 (12602.2.14.0.7)

Device(s) Used: Laptop (MacBook pro 13" )

Device Operating System: Mac OS sierra

Operating System Version: 10.12.1

Internet Connection Type: Wireless, the problem persists if I change wifi connection/location

Antivirus Installed: None besides mac defaults. Adblock is running but doesn't seem to have an impact on whether the bug happens or not.

Describe the bug in detail:

Since night of the nocturne began, I've been having freezing problems with coliseum. After much trial and error I've narrowed down the sequence of events that causes it: The turn after a dragon uses meditate, the coliseum menu freezes and doesn't allow me to take any further turns. Animations still run but buttons are unresponsive. This doesn't seem to be a slowdown issue as waiting doesn't seem to fix the issue.

It seems I can work around it by not having any dragons with or using meditate in my party. At least now I can actually try to get strange chests via the coliseum part of the event, but it does limit what I can do as I can't use my healer dragons! I hope this helps! I commented previously on a bug report thread but this is more precise information now that I seem to have narrowed down the cause/s.

I can include more info as well:

Browser(s) Used: Safari

Browser(s) Version: Version 10.0.1 (12602.2.14.0.7)

Device(s) Used: Macbook Pro Retina 15"

Device Operating System: macOS Sierra

Operating System Version: 10.12.1 (16B2555)

Antivirus Installed: Norton + AdBlock

Describe the bug in detail:
As seen in the video linked, the act of attacking causes the coli to freeze. After clicking Scratch the game freezes and I am unable to click the creatures or the cancel button and have to refresh the page. This happens numerous times to the point where I must refresh the page every two or three rounds, sometimes not even getting past the first round.

What I've tried:

Switch game sockets: problem persists
Clear the cache: problem persists
Hard restart of the browser: problem persists
Switch Coli levels: problem persists
Safe link: problem persists
Switch the browser: problem seems to have been resolved in Chrome

I found that playing in Chrome does not have the same problem. Since it's not my default browser this is a little annoying to have to switch between the two just to play the coli, however.

@Jesseth

You should have QuickTime installed (comes with the mac)--perhaps you can screen record your playing of the coli to show when it freezes for you? Just open QT>File>New screen recording and follow the instructions. Just a suggestion--don't have to if you don't want to haha c:
