Many genes have accommodations for dragon anatomy where one breed is every so slightly different than others because it worked better for them. These are not considered errors.
Please report any errors you encounter and we will do our best to correct them in a timely manner.

Are they supposed to be pure black? I love the dark of them these are great

Are the accent colors not supposed to show up like how metals and lapis are purely yellow and blue respectively? Is this intentional?

The black is intentional. The gene should still show the dragon, so if it's pure black then that would be an error and we would need you to list what dragon combination is displaying that error.
Note that colors like obsidian and black may not show up as strongly against the dark background. But they should not be pure black.

This is intentional. The accents used here are the same accents used in tiger's paw fades.

the belly is the exact same flat colour on every breed in every colour. the markings just End and then it's Plain Grey. it's just this huge flat void in the middle of otherwise very pretty markings.
that can't be intentional, can it?

White Pharaoh is just one colour where for all breeds the black is just. Flat black
It's starkest if you contrast with White Sarcophagus, which seems to be shaded:

whereas Black Basic primary would look like this:

I can't make out the same shadows on the Pharaoh primary version

White and Pearl have very marginal difference, but not in the way that Maize and White are marginally different (if that makes sense?)
Like, the shadow / back wing of the male obelisk helps this example. The pearl on the back wing looks like it should be the main color, but when you switch between pearl and white, the only parts that change are the parts with substantial shading.
I know there's probably not going to be major differences between colors that are already close in brightness/shade, but it seems kind of... weird /shrug
@Antimoany I don't see what you mean, comparing belly colors look different to me?
See copper's slightly brown underbelly
vs Radioactive's slightly green

That said I do agree that the blacks are too black in some places- such as on the paws of the Obelisk here, where lineart is... well, I can't distinguish it, at least? It seems like it should match the grey of the wings where it lightens slightly, I dunno?

okay it's different shades, i thought that was an illusion caused by the stark contrast of the markings
nontheless, the markings Just End and there's a void of flat colour. it looks like an error, like they forgot a layer or something. especially for a gem gene
