So this is more of a vent and a warning to all the artists on here, more than anything else. I was working on a digital painting as a surprise for another member on here. I poured hours into that piece and I actually was really liking the way it was turning out. Last night, my battery on my tablet was getting low, so I decided to call it quits for the night, hit save, and hooked the computer up to its charger.
This evening, I got all excited because I was finally going to finish it, turned on my tablet, went to the painter program and it's just...gone. No evidence that it ever existed and no way to get it back. I literally feel sick to my stomach.
So, all that to say, I've learned my lesson. Always, always, always save multiple back up files to the computer itself. Maybe everyone already knows this and I'm just a major dufus, but just in case anyone doesn't, I don't want them to have to go through a similar situation.
