[center][b]Critique is greatly appreciated! I can take it :)[/b] [/center] This is just a place for me to post my drawings and other little projects, just to get more comfortable with sharing them, and hopefully get some helpful critique. It will be mostly dragons, with a few nightmare-fuel "humans" tossed in. If you're interested in my art, PM me and we can work something out. To start us off, I'll post a couple things that I forgot to put in the actual thread, just to add interest. (The art only gets tolerable on page 8, just warning you.) @Zygon

I think it's really cool that you're practicing everyday. If you keep it up, you'll definitely improve.

My advice: maybe try drawing the exact same thing for 3-5 days and see if you get better at it. So if you have a toy in your room that you like, try drawing it from different angles (one from the front, one from the side, top, etc.). You'll really learn a lot about something if you draw it multiple ways. This is a lot easier to pull off if it's an actual, physical item that you can move around in real life.

Another piece of advice: Add more colors! I see you have some colored stuff here, but try pushing yourself to add more. Buy some cheap markers or something since they're quicker than colored pencils.

The thread is also super long with all these pictures here. I would probably change about half of them over to links *or* make thumbnails out of them (I.e. a 100x100 picture that links to the full sized image). Its not good to have more than 5-10 pictures in a thread because it makes the page almost unloadable.

I really like your art style. It's interesting and very creative.

@AboveClouds Well, I'm not practicing every day anymore, that was just for an October challenge. That has motivated me to start drawing/painting more instead of playing for hours on end on Flightrising, and I have been doing some free drawings, for practice, and to build up a portfolio. Thanks for the pro tip about drawing the same object. I'll see if I can't find something to fit the bill.

Yeah, I didn't have much time to color most of these, and the ones where I went back and filled it in look kind of muddy, since I had done shading in pencil :/ The marker suggestion is smart, I'm just not sure if I could bring myself to use such an...inelegant method (no offense, I'm just not great at it) on something I worked really hard on. Perhaps I'll do a few line art, simplistic ones, and fill those in, instead of these, where I spent some time shading and detailing with a pencil.

I knew that was going to be problematic, but I wasn't sure what else to do. How can I make them into thumbnails?

Weeeell you can make the thumbnails manually (resize the image yourself and upload that) or you can use Imgur's built-in thumbnails. You can get the thumbnails by typing an m or s before the .jpg, like so:

aAg1LoGm.jpg
Code:
[Url=http://i.imgur.com/aAg1LoG.jpg][IMG]http://i.imgur.com/aAg1LoGs.jpg[/IMG][/URL]

Code:
[Url=http://i.imgur.com/aAg1LoG.jpg][IMG]http://i.imgur.com/aAg1LoGm.jpg[/IMG][/URL]

I made it so that the thumbnail shows up and it links to the larger size.

@Zygon Sorry if I'm a little late to the party! I love your style of shading, and if you practice a lot you will definitely get better! I like to doodle on my homework or on my notes in class, or if you can't do that, just draw a little bit at home each day. Every little line helps! Keep up the good work! :)

I'll put something here someday
@Dragonesque Thank you! I can't really doodle much since I'm in virtual school, so it's all reading, not listening, but I'm trying to practice more often.
