TOPIC | New to art, need practice
I just got my tablet and I'm very happy! The problem is, I cannot art. I have a little experience on paper and need to practice.

I want to learn human anatomy and proportions and cat anatomy and proportions, but just trying to draw cats and humans really has not been working out. I just can't get it right, and I really want to. Does anyone have any tricks or tips on what I can draw to learn this? Maybe how I can draw to learn it? What to keep in mind? Anything!

I'd say you just have to continue drawing cats and humans in all poses and perspectives you can imagine. There is no shortcuts when it comes to learning how to draw. In the beginning your art wont be perfect, but hey, that's how it is. Don't set your own standards to high.

Use references, study their anatomy, try and fail until you feel like you've improved.

One more or less fun way to learn is draw whatever you want to draw without reference - entirely out of memory. When you're done you look at a reference to see what could have been done better, and then redraw it. Learn to notice what you've done wrong.

Also, tutorials are nice.

Overall - Practice practice practice. Be patient, and someday you'll notice improvement.

I see, thank you for the advice. I'll try that method and will just keep drawing random cats and humans besides that, then. Thank you :3
