This is my third time doing Inktober and it's always been a blast, and I saw some other artists making Inktober threads so I thought I might as well! I'm not going off of any particular prompt list or theme, just drawing whatever seems fun and fits into a college senior's schedule. That being said I expect to spill a lot of ink on Pokemon, Shovel Knight, Transformers, Kirby, a dash of paleontology, and probably a couple humanizations of my dragons.
For day 1 of Inktober, I made a piece dedicated to my favorite unused designs from the 1997 Spaceworld demo of Pokemon Gold and Silver, Tangel and Gelanla!

Smoothly inking giant curvy lines is a nightmare so I'll try to avoid that for future pieces, but I think this turned out rather well overall. I debated on shading it with lineation or pointillism, but I decided to just go with varying line thickness to suggest depth, since I hope to use this as color pencil practice when Inktober is over and I have time for that again.

I was worried today would be especially busy, so last night I sketched out a rough drawing of Plague Knight that I inked today for my second Inktober piece. I've done Plague Knight at least three times in the past two years I've done Inktober, so it was mostly a matter of finding a cool new pose to draw him in.

Classes, homework, studying for a midterm, and doing research for my undergrad thesis all conspired against art today, hence the last-minute completion/upload. I cannot wait for fall break. Plenty of time to relax, sleep in, do more research, and draw some sketches for future days ahead of time so I only have to worry about the inking and not the entire process on super busy days.
(and yeah, the fire is done in ink- I have a poor 0.003mm pen that always gets subject to a lot of faint-line abuse this time of year, it's the real hero this month)
