Introduction
I vaguely remember starting a Nuzlocke when the challenge first started going around, and I made a fair attempt at it. But it was also before lair tabs– way, way before lair tabs –which made it difficult for me to keep things separate™. So here goes round two, as a Pinkerlocke this time!
I'm subscribed to the thread, so you don't need to ping me to get my attention. Feel free to subscribe, or let me know if you'd like to be added to the pinglist for lore/art updates, and not just general new posts.
Rules
- A death in the coliseum = that dragon must be exalted. This is the most essential rule of a nuzlocke. – Exception: Aura. As part of their curse they are not allowed to die, even as clanmates succumb before their eyes...
- The item pulled from Pinkerton's Pile determines what is done for that day:
Food = Coliseum
- Plants: 10-20 matches / Insects: 20-30 matches /
Seafood: 30-40 matches / Meat: 40-50 matches
- Hardmode: You must select coliseum challengers in your lair using a random number generator. Then, select the coliseum arena that corresponds to the highest level dragon of that group. If your dragons level up while in an area, you can still stay there for the whole day. You can quit your battle streak at any time to regen health, and flee from battles if it is appropriate. Don't try do 50 matches in a row unless you want a wiped-out dragon!

Familiars = New Dragon
- Buy the cheapest dragon in the auction house of a specific breed. Use a random number generator (between 1-14) to determine which breed you will get! (Optionally: attach the familiar to the new dragon.)

It had been Aura's father who had taught the lesson about a Guardians' Search for their Charge. What Aura hadn't expected was that it would occur before reaching adulthood. The young Guardian was by no means a small hatchling, they were now roughly the size of an adult Coatl, but Aura was not experienced in the ways of the world and trekking across the Snowsquall Tundra by oneself was perhaps not the wisest decision.
Aura had sought shelter for the night in a roughly dug out shallow cave in one of the odd little hills they had found a little earlier in the day. When the young Guardian dug deeper into the hill a collection of roughly shaped stone bricks had tumbled out, exposing the hollow interior of the false hill. Cautiously, Aura pulled more of the stone bricks out to make the entrance big enough for them to enter and bring in a little extra light.
A small stone figurine sat propped up in the center of the hill's interior, framed by runestones that glowed dimly in the darkness. Aura reached out a claw to gently nudge the runes, unsure if it would be safe to pick up or not. But the small nudge was enough.
A piercing screech echoed in the chamber and the circle of runestones cracked, their glow disappearing instantly.
That screech was the last thing Aura heard before blacking out and collapsing on the cold floor.

Alcorin I've got both of you added :)
And thank you, Alcorin. It's been awhile since I've had time to write lore. Uni kept me pretty busy and it's nice to have time to get back into it.

Could others join this story? Or is this just a story for one to unfold?
