[center] [size=5][color=purple]Theine's Art Dump[/color][/size] It's been a few years since I've done much art-wise, but ever since opening up an adoptable shop here I've found myself getting back into the swing of things - helped in part by my current operating system kicking my old version of photoshop to the curb (RIP 32 bit programs), and forcing me to look for alternatives. And I have to say, as someone with a shaky hand, brush stabilizers are probably the best thing ever! I decided to make this thread to keep track of my recent art, which will no doubt include a mix of dragons, original characters and fanart. Feel free to leave any comments or suggestions you might have. Unfortunately, she tends to shake the basket in her excitement, leading to the food inside becoming all mixed up. ----- [img]https://i.imgur.com/Q3rs79V.png[/img] Tallos Kaigan, King of the Argeans. He prefers sailing the seas at the head of his armada to the day-to-day minutiae of ruling and is happy to leave the kingdom in his younger brother Faylen's hands. He became known as the Pirate King after stealing blackpowder technology from a formerly allied nation, ensuring his military superiority on the open seas. ----- [img]https://i.imgur.com/AvAjpWB.png[/img] A young drow born into slavery and bought by a pair of human alchemists with a taste for the exotic who were in need of an assistant they could mould to their liking. He didn't know his people's reputation among surface dwellers until he left the alchemists' workshop after their deaths and spent a traumatic month being hunted by mobs and vigilantes. He was adopted by a group of travellers who nursed him back to health after finding him collapsed in a ditch. The group's sorcerer, a half-orc named Rastaban, named him Smokey after a cat he'd once owned when he learned the drow had never been given a name. Smokey is extremely shy and rarely speaks, but happily supports the party with healing potions and explosive alchemical grenades. Alignment: Neutral

I love that Ridgie so much, but your humanoids are really nice as well, especially Smokey! The details of their clothing, the poses, the HANDS (I hate to draw hands) - everything looks so good!

Thanks! I'm really happy with how Smokey turned out, as it's the first time I've really drawn him and it's super rare that my characters turn out as close as he did to how I originally imagined him!

Urgh, hands! I admit that I cheat a bit with them by using a picture of myself as a base whenever I need to draw them in anything but the most basic poses so I can make sure all the fingers have the right number of joints and I'm not bending their wrists at an impossible angle, haha! :)

It's strange to think I came up with him over seven years ago - and interesting to look back on his original concept and see how he has changed.
