These dragons would be quite surprised to find this is not the full truth: Lore’s secondary passion lies in baking. “Why the reaction?” he would ask. “There are many griefs in this world, but at least some things can be solved with a good hearty meal, maybe with fresh cookies for dessert. And who reads without a tasty snack close at hand?” [*]Lore is always curiously warm to the touch, as though his feathers have soaked up all of the ambient sunlight of his home and decided to stay that way even at nighttime. To hug him would be akin to wrapping your arms around a heated blanket that had been warmed by the fire. He does give fantastic hugs, but he himself is not aware of how warm his feathers are; he actually has a poor perception of temperatures around him and can only really feel extremes of heat or cold. [*]At heart, Lore is a dragon who loves his creature comforts: cups of cocoa, soft blankets, quiet, sunny days, piles of books, and long naps. Although he is friendly to a fault, he only has a few friends that he chooses to seek out on occasion; his do-gooder nature is tempered by a natural content for solitude. Despite his flashy bangles, he’s not fitted for any kind of close confrontation, although it’s been said that his magic, on the rare occasion he uses it, is powerful and strangely beautiful, leaving all those who see it in tears... 1. Allea is an aloof sort of dragon - never in one place for long, paying little attention to the societies she wanders through. Her pursuit is a purely scholarly one, although she always seems to have several projects going on at once, each one as densely theoretical and complex as the next. Catch her in a good mood and she’ll gladly chatter about it, although you probably won’t have a hope of following.
2. She’s got a surprisingly voracious appetite, although she tends to forget to eat between projects. Allea isn’t terribly picky - it’s all fuel in the tank, to her - although she does enjoy spicy foods in particular. Just don’t ask her to cook unless you fancy some explosions in the kitchen, followed by exclamations of, “Well, that’s going in the book!”
3. Most of her studies nowadays focus on arcane energy and the nature of magic, but her earliest memories of scientific inquiry are of her mentor, who loved the stars and astronomy. One of the scrolls she carries is a starmap made by her mentor, who swore they’d one day find a way to fly between the galaxies and see what lies beyond. This dragon is the one who instilled such a burning passion of science within Allea and sent her on her way to a school where she could study.
