As Samhain approaches and the Hallowe'en season is in full swing, I wanted to toss this out here and see how it does. As always, please keep in mind:
  1. Tarot is not set in stone. All tarot and oracle decks are going to tell you is what you already know, but may not be able to see yet. It's something to keep in mind, something to file away for future reference. It's a suggestion, not a truth.

That being said, here are the decks I have, both of tarot and oracle:
Tarot:
- Rider-Waite (classic deck)
- Welcome to Night Vale (Jay Halloway)
- Tarot Familiars (Lisa Parker)
- Wild Unknown Tarot (Kim Krans)
- Shadowscapes Tarot (Stephanie Pui-Mun Law)
- Prism Visions (James R. Eads)
- Legends Tarot (Anne Stokes)
Oracle:
- Hallowe'en Oracle (Stacey Demarco)
- Black Moon Astrology (Susan Sheppard)
- Moonology (Nyx Rowan)
- Messages from Your Angels (Doreen Virtue)
- Gods and Titans (Stacey Demarco)
- Goddesses and Sirens (Stacey DeMarco)

I also have the Yggdrasil deck from Haukur Halldorsson and G Hauksdottir, though I'm still a little daunted by that, so I might need a bribe to read that one.

Heck, might as well give this a shot!
@Hyleoroi
Deck to use: Rider-Waite
Question: What should I focus on to prep for my job interview on Halloween? (It's an internal interview for Finance/IT Admin Assistant, if that helps)

Deck to use: Messages from Your Angels
Question: It's not really a specific question, but is there anything I should be aware of?

So! I found a nice 6-card spread that deals with job hunting and interviews. Here's how I'm interpreting the spread:

1. What can I bring to this position? - The Tower
I'll admit, this isn't a card I expected to see in this position. It is commonly a portent of destruction and chaos--but I think it's presenting in a more positive light. The card suggests you can bring a totally different vibe, or idea, or position into the department--one which might rock everyone back on their heels and build from the ground back up. You can bring a fresh new start, or a new perspective--and a powerful one.

2. What does the employer like about me? - Four of Pentacles
The four of pentacles indicates that a great deal has been accumulated, and there is security in that--but a fear of being too conservative. The card suggests that the employer may see you as someone who has a great deal of knowledge or potential, and won't be quick to squander what you've been given.

3. How can I improve my chances? - Six of Wands
The six of wands is a clear sign of triumph. All you need to do is hold your head up high. This is already a celebration of your achievements.

4. Will this position allow me to grow and learn? - Ace of Pentacles reversed
The Ace of Pentacles indicates that there is potential, but something is blocking it--or something which could have helped has been lost. It's going to be a fight to move forward.

5. Is this the right job for me? - Five of Swords reversed
The five of swords seems to wonder if you may have been asking this question to yourself. Maybe there's been a lot going up to this, maybe a lot of people are angling for it, and you are caught in the middle. Be it for better or worse, you just want it to be over. You are ready to lay down the sword, so to speak.

6. What are my chances right now? - Four of Cups reversed
The four of cups here gave me a little bit of confusion. What it seems to indicate is that you may know what the Six of Wands said earlier--and you may be taking that for granted. Take a moment, look at what is being presented to you, and make your decision from a place of balance.

Bonus: Page of Cups
In my findings, if a card jumps out at you while shuffling, it's a sign to use that card to temper all the others. Page of Cups fell out while I was working on this, so here's what he has to say--and it's a clear underlying message through the others: follow your instinct. The Page is a happy surprise--and one that's asking you to listen to the little voice in the back of your head. You may not understand what it's trying to tell you, but it's talking. Trust yourself, above all else.

Here's a look at the spread.

I welcome any feedback you may have! Good luck with the interview!

@NatsumeReikoSan

Thank you for your request! The Shadowscapes deck is so pretty, and I'm loving being able to know it better. I did a past-present-future spread for you, and there is a lot of energy in these cards.

The Past: - The Star
The Star is a symbol of rebirth--so the past may not have been easy for you. You are coming from a place where the worst is behind you, and you can move toward rebuilding who you are. You bring hope in from your past.

The Present: - The Moon
Interestingly enough, the Moon is right after the Star in the fool's journey. Now that the starlight of the past is gone, you are left under the gaze of the moon. The sky feels like the limit, and fantasy runs free--but you know that there is something more in the darkness. Be wary of illusions and shadows, as you know the unknown is ahead of you. That being said, this isn't a card of warning, just of hesitation. Maybe you're still figuring out how to move forward, and letting yourself dream isn't a bad thing!

The Future: - Eight of Swords
Ah, the swords. The Eight of Swords warns that difficult times may be coming--but only if you let them. Too often, we get caught up in ourselves and we freeze from indecision or panic. Don't let those walls close in on you; never forget you're the one building them. There may be a time coming where you feel like you are stuck and there is no possible way out. Don't believe it. Take a break, collect yourself, and slowly move forward.

Summary:
Despite the instinctive doom-and-gloom that can come with seeing the swords come up, this spread is optimistic. The very worst is behind you, and potential abounds around you. Just don't let yourself get caught up in the details as you move forward.
