Each blade of grass you walk by shudders in the mild puffs of wind. You consider making a stop to sit and relax amongst the breezy daydream the Steppes provides, when you hear a passing conversation. At first it does not interest you, but as the swell of the conversation flits by, you hear instead of voices a strange, reverberating chuckle. It piques your attention at once. The Zephyr Steppes cannot contain you any longer and you venture on, curious to find the source of the laughter. It grows the further you walk, beyond the Reedcleft Ascent and atop its pillars where the gushing swirls of frightful winds threaten to plummet you into the rapids. You are determined, clambering your way to the edges of The Twisting Crescendo. High above you is The Cloudsong but it is barely seen beyond the tempest that rages violently. The Crescendo’s powerful winds ring your ears but still the laughter persists, joined by the gentle melody of a song you feel is familiar but cannot quite remember. You are unsure what compels you forward, your heart hammers with fright but you feel the lift of your body as you leap, your eyes screw shut and you await the bludgeoning of the crushing wind upon you. But it does not come. It is as if you are plunged underwater, a momentary suspension of breath before you are whisked away to the Crescendo’s Eye, in which a solitary floating isle sits, and atop it, the Windsinger. He holds a brush and ink dribbles down his long fingers, the book in his hand partially open and perfectly still in his hold. Every day a new prompt is given and people can then submit creations pertaining to that prompt with either art or writing! Prompts vary between themes and challenges, for example completing a piece with your eyes closed. At the end of each week, randomly selected pieces of creative submissions will be featured in the [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/cc/2825887/1#post_42376962]Gallery[/url] to show off everybody’s hard work! The gallery will change with the new coming week. In addition, there will be a weekly raffle that people can enter by submitting their work. Each daily submission counts for [b]one ticket[/b] and winners will be announced at the beginning of the following week. There are also weekly badges to be earned! Alongside the participation badge you can earn by submitting at least one piece for the entirety of the event, those who do at least one challenge a week can nab themselves a lovely badge! Ultimately the purpose of the challenge is to have fun and be creative!
