Hi! So this is going to be a bit of a strange request, but I'm looking for people to make UMAs with, in other words.
Context: I can't digital art, because I don't have the resources or skills for it at all. What I do have however, are a ton of ideas and concepts floating around in my head that I can't ever seem to properly bring to life. If you'd like to make some accents and some gems along with it and don't mind working with me(potentially long term!) please hit me up!

I intend to sponsor the blueprint costs! The gems earned from the sales will be split between us in a 1:4 ratio after covering the costs of the next set of blueprints and as the artist, you'll get more. All credit goes to you, you'll be the one submitting the accent, and I'll also be advertising it for you on top of whatever other advertisement you want to do on your own!

I don't think I've seen any particular post or name for this sort of collaboration, and I understand that as the artist you'll be doing most of the work. Still, I'm willing to work out who pays for what and who gets what amount of the profits(forgive me, it's late and my brain isn't working well enough to compute the costs at this moment.)
At the moment I'm looking for people who would like to make science-y, futuristic, robotic accents. I'm also open to considering flowers or silk themed UMAs, but my focus is on the science stuff for now.

Hmm. Your art shop doesn't really have examples of the type of style I'm going for, but if you're willing to try making a sort of sample draft accent thing(aka show me how you'd make an accent) I might be willing!

I checked your art shop out, and while I do love your art, I'm wondering how well it would translate to the type of stuff I'm looking for. If you're willing to try making a sample/draft accent(aka show me how you'd make a robotic/futuristic accent) it would definitely be of help in deciding whether your art style is compatible!

it kind of seems like the transaction you're looking for is for an artist to commission to draw some designs that you had in mind? as you've correctly identified, in this kind of arrangement the artist would be doing most of the work. i'm not saying it's impossible you'll find an artist who's willing to work for free
and potentially give you a cut of the profits, but it does seem like it'd be a bit of a one-sided partnership.
if you had a particular style of accent in mind, you might have more luck going through accent shops to find artists to commission? otherwise, it might be helpful to outline further in your first post what you're actually bringing to the table. will you be helping to run the accent shop and organise preorders and fulfillment? will you provide concept sketches for your ideas that the accent artist can use for inspiration? it seems like you're kind of undervaluing the artists' contribution from where i'm standing. which i'm sure is unintentional! just bear in mind that making accents is a lot of hard work, and artists need to be compensated fairly for their time.

I don't expect the artist to work for free - I was going to offer to pay for the blueprints for example, while the profit split would have to be discussed (since the artist should get more, but at the same time it depends on the price of the finished accent and whether splitting it at certain percentages would still be profitable to us both, or if it's fair that I pay for the blueprints and the artist gets a smaller cut of the profits, so on and so forth.)
If it ends up being a long term partnership I'm willing to open and manage a shop! I usually provide descriptions, videos, lore and other reference images, but as I said I don't have the capability to digital art(and sketching on paper is pretty hard for me too since I'm bad with dragon anatomy), but I do also work with artists through steps and give very frequent feedback if that helps?

i don't think it's disrespectful as such - no worries on that front! i just kinda feel that i dunno if it's totally realistic as outlined, because from your posts i'm still not quite sure what the artist really gets out of it. being frank, ideas and concepts are kind of dime a dozen. it seems like you're looking for an artist who already has experience making robotic/sci-fi accents. but for an artist in that position, they clearly already have their own ideas and sources of inspiration, so... where do you come in?
i don't mean to just shoot you down, and i hope this doesn't come across as dismissive. it just seems like you need to reevaluate, or else make clearer on your first post, what you're actually offering here. like, a service where you cover the blueprint cost in exchange for a small cut of the profits could be really helpful for beginner accent makers who don't have the gems for blueprints themselves and don't want to worry about preorders! or, if you feel like the ideas and concepts you have are strong and unique enough to be worth a look, maybe put an outline/example in the first post. just my thoughts!

hey so I kind of misread your post and I though you were just going to be commissioning a series of accents and paying me for them yourself, not giving a share of the profit
I blanked and am not sure how to word this but I'm not really interested in that since I've got plenty of ideas myself for stuff I wanna make
