So, I'm making a sort of "lore" for an idea I had a bit based on the new Minecraft update caves and cliffs. This is unrelated to it, but heavily inspired by it and a music disc (I don't think it was added) called Beneath The Bedrock.

The concept of the idea, is that an explorer (you, if you want to look at it that way) has gotten lost in a sort of stalagmite forest, and you keep looking around until you find a light. This light, has been here for many years, attempting to ward away explorers from going beyond. Of course, it's the only light, beside your lantern. This "light" had a horrific encounter with one of the creatures that lurks beneath this cave, which the light refuses to address as a thing. It just repeats "Leave before it hears."

Well, you ignore the warning, continuing to venture forth into the endless abyss. You find some claw marks along the way, claw marks much bigger then anything you've seen. They run along the ground and ceiling, a trail of broken stalagmites in their wake.

I need some ideas for how said explorer (aka, a true genius) sees/hears the creature. And also, ideas for how it should be designed. Like, maybe long serpent like thing with an extra set of arms, and maybe more tails then average for crawling around the stone expansion. Another idea, is if I could try to make it an animation. Like an animatic with a few frames of movement. Should the creature be more centipede like, or more leviathan like? I've settled on the more then two sets of legs/arms, but I'm leaning more towards leviathan.

So, any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

If you wanna base your critter off a real-life cave dweller (well it's also a forest dweller but you find em in caves) and you want it to be spooky I'd say something like this bad boi is right up your ally. Maybe take inspiration from it It's a tailless whip scorpion and they're actually very harmless, but they're one of the spookiest little guys. Real sweethearts, though. Maybe your monster can have big pinchie claws or little 'whips' to sense around since most cave dwellers are blind. You're already making it insectoid like, it seems.

If I don't respond it's because I'm either working or busy, I promise I'm not ignoring you.
Also I'm sorry if I ever sound rude, I'm not trying to be, I'm just socially awkward.
@TheBugDetective I've come up with the idea of making it a mix of centipede and some serpent thing, with extra arms and and like the gargantuan leviathan in Subnatica (Example 2-) (Only examples I could find that let me actually say it besides a link-) The main idea- is it's like the gargantuan, but I was thinking more of the ghost until I saw it's tiny size compared to the other leviathan. It's incredibly long and large, and I'm thinking maybe it could have antennas or antlers of sorts for detecting motion or vibrations like the Warden in Minecraft. I'm still contemplating on giving it eyes, though. Maybe heat vision since it is underground and in complete darkness. The front grabbers of it would make sense, though, maybe for sensing things like antennas would.

I also want it to sound like this to a degree, but I also want it to sound big, like a low growl would. The Minecraft "Low pitch orchestra" ambience matches it perfectly size wise, but doesn't match with its more hiss/humming sound.

The "Hellish Roar" is perfect for them. This video has them here.

Most of the ambiences match up with it pretty well, considering they're all unsettling in a way (not really, I cant find diamonds without feeling disturbed). Anywho, these are the sounds I've been thinking it'd sound like, and maybe when you're getting closer, they get louder? Like starting out as a distant hum, more of an ambience then a warning, and then get to the "Hellish Roar" once your very close, but not too close.
