I found my clan leader, Bron, at very early stages of playing. Basically even before I had my own account I made sure to get him because he has, so I think, a remarkable look with the combination of colors and genes. Since many people told me they liked him, I started looking for his perfect mate. I'm not into breeding the exact same dragon all the time so I got Maeva, whose genes seemed to fit for the same effect. I was inspired by the old german mining culture, which I find very interesting and mysterious. Alright, here we go!

Along the edges of the Ashfall Waste, a class unknown to most of the Flamecallers children has evolved through the centuries – Coalings. Fire has always been a source of warmth, light and energy (+ cooking delicious meals). Using their good connections to other flights, many of the clans that reside at the borders carry on trades to exchange goods and knowledge. Coalings are miners with excellent knowledge of all that can be used to make fire mobile for travelling. They originate from the Southern Icefields and their icy fur started to adapt to the new surroundings quickly, producing only a thin coat covered in ash and tangled stones the more they worked in the mines. Most Coalings start as trainees as soon as they are born, many of them leave the Ashfall Waste to join other clans to be of use. However, the coal and flintstones produced in the Fire territory are said to be of the finest quality.
Coalings have enormous endurance and can dig all day. Their claws are extremely hardened and their paws are relatively insensitive to pain. Withstanding the high temperature and humid climate below ground are also part of their abilities, as well as breathing air which contains less oxygen without side effects.
As to familiars, Coalings prefer to bring along bird creatures, which show anxious behaviour if any dangerous gases are in the air. But all kinds of attentive companions will do.
Having a restless nature, they need the work to burn off their energy, resulting them to have a kind and patient mood in their free time. If they are kept from work, they feel unchallenged and will do all kinds of stupid things just to get the time going. Training in the Coliseum is also something they enjoy to ease their tension.

Though the spores of the Cindershroom indeed look like smoldering cinders, it's mostly harmless.

- 11/19/15: A new breeding pair has found each other to join the mine! The [s]mysterious Raeyn[/s] lighthearted Joshua and cheerful Mina will add Bar and Daub to the official Coaling gene pool. They CAN be bred with the hatchlings produced by Bron & Maeva! *3*
- 04/20/16: Raeyn & Mina had to break up lore-wise, so Joshua will take the part as Mina's mate now! Seriously, he fit's way better (well ahem, his colors and genes are the same as before... x,D)

- 05/01/16: Huge update; I adjusted the breed cards for a cleaner look. I also added a new sub-class: Refinery Coalings. They aren't a standalone species, they are specified to enhance the effect of coal and add effects necessary for special work areas (for example making it last longer; burning underwater; reacting with various elements in a certain way et cetera). This class is trained to know their chemistry, their paws/claws are steady and can carefully adjust their instruments. Tundras tend to work faster and can produce more than the pearlcatchers, whereas their accuracy and low accident-rate is probably more desirable. Refinery Coalings are extremely curious and seek to broaden their knowledge constantly.

- 01/02/17: Scales start to emerge on some of the Coalings, probably to protect them even more from the hard soil in which they have to put their claws (Thanks to Meowesty for suggesting adding Scales!)

Plant
Consuming this flower gives dragons of the fire flight the sudden urge to channel their magic into projectile spheres of flame.
