Some say the Mirrorlight Legacies were created when a Dawnling, cursed by the Gembond sickness, went insane and infected other Dawlings with Gembond. Others say they are born when an egg is exposed to extreme light and heat. The truth is, no one is quite sure where they came from...
Mirrorlight Legacies
Mirrorlight Legacies are most notable for their dedication to the Lightweaver. Rumors of gembond affecting their sanity have some grounds in their impulsive, drastic behaviors. They frequently start intense verbal and physical fights over perceived slights to the Lightweaver. Legacies are unshakably certain of their beliefs; to be otherwise is unthinkable. Legacies are willing to sacrifice for their beliefs; when a Legacy considers another dragon a friend or family member, they are equally willing to suffer for that dragon's defense or benefit.
Due to their devotion to the Lightweaver, many dragons consider them similar to another Light subspecies, the Devoted. Legacies, however, believe imitation of the Lightweaver is insulting, and they take issue with Devoted willingness to use magic. It is best not to keep the two in a lair together.
Legacies themselves do not have many internal disputes. Different breeds work together frequently. Skydancers often are the ambassadors for the breed. Pearlcatchers care for the eggs, while Imperials raise hatchlings.

Daily Life
Much of a Legacy's day is spent gathering food, as they eat a lot. They believe their connection to the light purifies any food they gather, and will only eat food a Legacy has gotten. Legacies quite enjoy sharing their food with others, though. In fact, they consider it the only safe option for their clan. Lairs with teams of Legacies hardly ever have to search for food themselves: Legacies insist on taking up this duty. Some clans of Mirrorlights take pride in hosting great feasts every few months; preparation for these massive events takes weeks.
Legacies do not often engage in serious fights, though it is unusual for a Legacy to make it through the day without at least one minor scuffle. However, most Legacies do know how to fight, and practice often. Mirrorlight Legacies shun those who use light magics, as they believe it drains life force from the Lightweaver. They prefer to be physical fighters, and are far more comfortable on the offense than on the defense. Smaller Legacies tend to be fast, light strikers, while the larger Imperials frequently acting as beserkers, using all of their strength and size to slam enemies incessantly. Legacies usually work in teams, giving frustrated opponents no time to get a strike in otherwise. Few dragons who encounter a full team of Legacies escape completely unscathed. Since Legacies do not practice magic, however, some dragons have found it most effective to attack with long range spells.
When a Legacy is done training, gathering, or reflecting on the Lightweaver, many enjoy sitting in the sun. Since Legacies do not tend to practice magic, Legacies are often fascinated by mechanical toys, familiars, and the various structures in the Stormcatcher's domain. In their spare time, many Legacies can be found playing with cogs, or taking apart mechanical trinkets found in the Coliseum.

While it is not unusual to see a Mirrorlight Legacy with a familiar, most prefer to spend time in the company of other dragons.
Nonetheless, when a Legacy chooses a familiar, they tend to bond with Light or Light-aligned familiars, such as:

Familiars and Favorites
While it is not unusual to see a Mirrorlight Legacy with a familiar, most prefer to spend time in the company of other dragons.
Nonetheless, when a Legacy chooses a familiar, they tend to bond with Light or Light-aligned familiars, such as:
O.O
Light Sprite
Familiar
Entourage of the Lightweaver. (Brightshine Jubilee Holiday Familiar 2013.)
0
Sunbeam Ursa
Familiar
Guardian of the Sunbeam Ruins. (Brightshine Jubilee 2014.)
0
Sunbeam Soldier
Familiar
Elemental acolyte of the Lightweaver. (Brightshine Jubilee Holiday Item 2015.)
0
Golden Porpoise
Familiar
The golden porpoise is capable of leaping great distances over the water.
2600
Crystalplate Stinger
Familiar
When a crystalplate stinger has fallen, it's recommended to clear the area; its passing will attract and enrage others of its kind.
2650
Swift Lumen
Familiar
Lumen no longer require food, drawing all the energy they need from sunlight.
2950
Celestial Antelope
Familiar
Resembles a creature of draconic legend from a distance. Up close it merely looks delicious.
2500
Lux Spectre
Familiar
These impish spectres appear at the edges of one's vision when the nights are darkest. It remains unknown if they truly exist, or if they are a figment of the mind.
2750
Grouse Basilisk
Familiar
Breaking the gaze of a grouse basilisk is not too difficult if attacked in pairs; they startle easily!
1650
Wetland Unicorn
Familiar
The long legs of this unicorn allow it to walk along the bottom of shallow swamp beds, enabling it to easily graze on the aquatic plantlife.
2800
Dwarf Unicorn
Familiar
Slight and sleek, this unicorn possesses all of the charm, but less than half the magic and size of a true unicorn.
0
Black Dwarf Unicorn
Familiar
This dwarf unicorn has lost its magic. Its once shining coat is dull and blackened. The horns of black unicorns are worthless.
0
Stone Borer
Familiar
The armor plating on this golem was designed to withstand a cave-in. Deflecting a claw is no challenge.
10000
Steelhound
Familiar
These golems are networked together. A pack of steelhounds can threaten smaller dragon clans.
2920
Monkey Wrench
Familiar
These small golems break everything that they attempt to repair.
2920
Black Iron Creeper
Familiar
Forged to infiltrate and dismantle coppercoil creepers. These assassins will perform their work only as long as the coal in their internal furnace burns.
2920
Sentinel Mith
Familiar
Mecha mail makes a mild-mannered mith mighty!
2920
Cog Frog
Familiar
*Rivet Rivet*

When it comes to items, preferences vary between individual dragons. Most Legacies do keep on hand these, as well as various mechanical trinkets:
Light Tome
Apparel
A durable leather tome filled with ancient knowledge of the Light Flight.
1000
Soft Lightweaver Idol
Trinkets
A crudely-fashioned stuffed doll that resembles the Lightweaver. The stitching is finely threaded and the fabric is shiny silk.
1000
Light Runestone
Dragonmade
An ancient stone bearing the ancestral rune of the Lightweaver. Such a find should be kept as a prized possession.
