This is my lovely progen couple, whom I've never touched gene or color wise. What do you guys think? I think they look so great and perfect the way they are... maybe because they've always been that way... and when I try stuff out in the scrying shop, it just feels wrong! But I also feel like they deserve to be gened up or something.
I generally use their offspring as exalts, justifying this lore-wise because they are my trainers.. Derexes is the general of the clan's "army" or what have you, and Syrix is my saboteur (that's my working story anyway), so their kids are raised in that environment, trained, etc., and sent to serve the deity~~ That's how it is in my mind.
So that's who they are. Derexes is probably getting tired of being in charge of the clan, I've been working on everybody else so that others will technically be in charge... Syrix is happy to do whatever, motherly in a sort of rough way. For now, they continue to train more warriors, etc., and I don't plan on retiring them for awhile.
I'm planning on switching to Light flight when I have the funds.
Gimme your ideas on genes! I'm afraid to scatter-scroll them. I would *maybe* scatter Syrix since she was the RNG progen, but I dunno. Maybe you can convince me otherwise.

Metallic because of [i]course[/i] you would use Metallic for a Steel color. The match for Metallic isn't out yet so I chose Freckle. I dunno why, but I think it looks nice. Like a stormy-wing, and both colors really match his eyes. And, gosh, that Coral. I would keep it Basic.
As for Syrix, if you like matching genes, maybe Metallic + its matching secondary when it comes out? That'd look cool. As for genes you can get right now, I think Falcon/Peregrine looks neat.

I think cheub/satin/stained looks amazing on Derexes:

Isn't that coral tert just the worst? I do love metallic on him... especially if they make a matching secondary... I think that might solidify his primary for me. It's very fitting for him overall! (And the steel color, as you said, Simon!!)
And MAN, I love falcon & peregrine on her but gosh, yeah, I am.. rather tempted sometimes to scatter her. The falcon & peregrine would be super solid if her eyes weren't lightning, hnnng. And I love lavender, but it just doesn't quite work with that brown secondary...

I'm now actually at a point that I just can't decide which genes to give him because so many combos look good on him now.
