Hi @RedWillia ~ Wow, this is going to be fun. I've been on hiatus for like three years and I barely know what the new genes and colors are. Who do I think I am offering lair reviews?? And what the blotz is a bogsneak anyway?????

Talking about myself because there's really nothing bad to say about RedWillia's clan profile. It's pretty and organized and the badges look nice. She puts the important things at the top, like her desire for a cerise/mulberry/x female shadow orphan, and also her desire for forty eggs. Anyway, RedWillia's birthday is in three days. What generous soul is going to give her the Lit Sprit she so desperately needs from her wishlist??? hahaha as if. everyone knows light sprights aren't real

Pryina's accessorizing is both DARING and EFFECTIVE. What a good girl. Most people don't take an orange/obs/purple dragon and say, "you know what she needs? blinding green everything." but you had a dream, and you followed through, and the result is this beauty. And the mystic sage lanterns tie it all together -- the orange glow up in the wings balances with the orange glow of the crystal primary, like the lanterns are actually carved from the crystalline bodies of her deceased identical siblings.

Ferocious shadow queen ready to rip heads off, y/y? Her body is speckled with the blood of her enemies, nemeses, and groups of pedestrians who walk too slowly and take up the entire sidewalk, and also that lady who parked in front of my parking spot yesterday and wouldn't move even though I honked like 10 times. Anyway. Dis dragon is legit.

I actually like spines on her. They can look super tacked-on and fake, but tying in the bitty gold accessories completely saved it.

Alexophis is precious and perfect from the tip of her bitty fae nose to the tip of her bitty fae tail. These days, it takes a lot to get me excited about Obs/Obs/Y please don't tell my Obs/Obs/Ys but Alex (can i call her alex) manages it with flying colors. The pseudo-mystic futuristic Egypty vibe is just A+.

And I'm majorly ticked off about it because I even like the tunic, ugh. I never want to like tunics. This is seriously messing with my brand.

And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you. - Nietzsche

Or, if you gaze long into Sortal the Portal. So much. So much is happening. Like that tunnel in the first Willy Wonka movie. how can five apparel items and a single accent seem like 500???

The obvious answer is that it's because so many of them are all-over items, so there's no real point of focus for the eye. Everything is everywhere. The portal is all times and all places. We are the portal. The portal is us.

Keep the lightning thingy, because lightning is the best.

Her bio says, "She sees the possibilities that should come," but I don't know how she can see anything past that color scheme. Azure/gold/gold is so nice! those genes are so nice! the accent is so nice! the apparel is incoherent. The bio also mentions smoke inhalation; I suppose I would also dress like that if I were high on undisclosed incense fumes.

Ditch the pink stuff or the green stuff. Replace with flowerfall.

in conclusion~

I also like Elethia a lot. She is a pretty princess.

@Tria I am really looking forward to seeing all the reviews! I loved the style of all your examples, and this most recent one is just as good.

@Tria
I loved that, thank you so much! Also, congrats on your win :)
Now I stuck a Blue headdress on Mared - gotta listen to reviews, right? But I'm keeping Sortal - he's the third dragon I ever bought and he looks the same for 3 years now, what would I do without my purple/gold mess :D

@RedWillia - belatedly - I love the blue headdress! And I actually quite like the skin on Sortal! Plus I love seeing people keeping dragons around for so long.

derg 1: Caradonna

Me yesterday, at the scrying workshop: ugh why is cyan facet such a disappointment

Me today, throwing myself at Caradonna's feet: IT IS THE MOST PERFECT SECONDARY IN ALL THE REALM

This girl is gorgeous, wow. Those colors are the perfect muted+bright gleaming desert combo, and she wears that seraph set super well. That ice sprite works perfectly too. Frozen desert angel princess <3 If she wanted to take over the world, she wouldn't have to lift a dainty-but-razor-sharp claw -- she could just ask.

And afterthought sleeves.

I don't understand it, but I don't have to understand it. Some people argue over quantity vs. quality. You steamroller past all the debate with the best of both worlds, with (1) a tightly curated selection of 20 beautiful, well-dressed dragons with a cohesive naming system, and (2) the power-move display of 80 more lair spaces, 72 of them currently empty. Your lair says, "I have impeccable standards AND have spent millions on lair space." Roses + bloodstains + delicate pale coloration = tragic gothicromantic illness thingy, which is one of my favorite things because I feed on beauty and suffering. Even his element - plague - is perfectly matched, which is important even when his eyes are covered because we know it's there, okay. Also I googled his name and now I have no idea if these are fandragons of the historical people or of fictionalized versions or not fandragons at all -- either way, I wanted to share this perfect line from IRL Yoshitsugu's wikipedia article: "?tani Yoshitsugu is well known in Japan for two main aspects: his leprosy, and his friendship." ------ derg 2: Zijun ------ TINY BUN FRIEND TINY BUN FRIEND TINY BUN FRIEND LARGER BUN FRIEND FAMILIAR Accent looks really nice with his base colors -- there's depth and contrast without clashing. ------ derg 3: Sorin ------ Sorin! Hi, Sorin! I've complimented Sorin on discord; I'll compliment him again here. He is a good-looking dragon. Skink was absolutely the right choice -- so much more sophisticated than poison, which I feel is important for him. Also enjoy how the yellow/cream accent works with moon butterfly and the apparel. overview~

Hi @kyonshi !!! ~ I spent way too long staring at the hopping gif.

Your lair says, "I have impeccable standards AND have spent millions on lair space."

Plus you're totally ready to launch unpaid laborers interns to the boss.

derg 1: Yoshitsugu

Obsessed with Yoshitsugu. Roses + bloodstains + delicate pale coloration = tragic gothicromantic illness thingy, which is one of my favorite things because I feed on beauty and suffering. Even his element - plague - is perfectly matched, which is important even when his eyes are covered because we know it's there, okay.

Also I googled his name and now I have no idea if these are fandragons of the historical people or of fictionalized versions or not fandragons at all -- either way, I wanted to share this perfect line from IRL Yoshitsugu's wikipedia article: "?tani Yoshitsugu is well known in Japan for two main aspects: his leprosy, and his friendship."

derg 2: Zijun

TINY BUN FRIEND

TINY BUN FRIEND

TINY BUN FRIEND

LARGER BUN FRIEND FAMILIAR

Accent looks really nice with his base colors -- there's depth and contrast without clashing.

derg 3: Sorin

Sorin! Hi, Sorin! I've complimented Sorin on discord; I'll compliment him again here. He is a good-looking dragon. Skink was absolutely the right choice -- so much more sophisticated than poison, which I feel is important for him. Also enjoy how the yellow/cream accent works with moon butterfly and the apparel.

I'm glad Yoshitsugu has an assistant. He seems like he needs one.

derg 4: Mitsumame

Um, excuse me? I said I was reviewing dragons? What is this?? I did not sign up to review cats. I am perfectly capable of saying "this dragon needs help" but cats are too good and pure and quite honestly outrank all of us in the social hierarchy. I could never criticize a cat for doing anything ever.

Especially not Mitsumame, who is darling.

derg 5: Namagashi

When I returned to Flight Rising after a three-year hiatus, I faced three Great Disappointments. The first: that all my carefully-matched one-off color breeding pairs were no longer just one-off -- thanks, color wheel. The second: that tunics are still ugly as blotz. The third: that users are still foisting these ugly tunics on their sweet innocent dragons.

Insert inappropriate shouting for Namagashi to take his shirt off and show off that sweet pistachio skink.

in conclusion~

@Tria

the gif.. is actually the definition of my username. XD kyonshi. from Jiangshi. Hopping Vampires.

And nearly everyone is at least inspired by their historical counterparts. There's a few non-related ones in there, but they hide well enough. It's not totalllly accurate though and there's some AU stuff like technically Yoshi was a vassal of Sorin. Also the whole coffee shop thing. But Sorin's the younger one here. And yes, Yoshi could use the help.

And yeah, Namagashi needs a new outfit, but he's also the one who is in the kitchen most. xD We have precious little that looks like chefs clothes. I did try. I hope he can get something better someday too.

and thank you for the review <3 It was also very fun to read, as were the others.

@Tria I lost your review of my lair among all my pings and notifications, but I SOUGHT IT OUT and I'm absolutely delighted!!!!

I'm glad you noticed the rainbow order and I'm glad you like my coatls. Anyway, YOUR WISH IS MY COMMAND, you're absolutely right that Mira needs some cats and Bertleis better clothing so I'll get right on that.
