Oddly enough I don't really like the new genes either. HOWEVER, after playing around with the crying workshop for a while I found one that I like enough to do a breeding pair for.... Not the most popular breed, but gosh darn I love me some tundras o(-<

So far, this guy is the only one who might get the new secondary, but it's not like you can really see it because Spirals have teeny wings:
