While the Cloudsong itself was fine, there still were minor damages and a lot of the Wind flight's kites were ripped out of the sky, torn to pieces. No one knew when or how it happened, but it is rumored that the Windsinger himself took pity on what happened in the home of his flight's dragons; so on a whim, he granted the torn kites life. Shreds and pieces of torn kites disappeared and in their stead colourful dragons rose high into the sky, full of energy and life, thanks to the wind's spirit coursing through their veins. We have more stamina and we can fly for long distances even without the help of currents and all that. Why that is, you ask? Because, as I mentioned, our species is infused with the wind's spirit and while you could say 'but that counts for every Wind dragon!' it is special for us.[/i] He thinks for a second, before continuing. [i]I have heard that outside of Wind territory, our stamina decreases a bit - probably because we can not feel the wind spirit as strongly in other territories - but it is still way more than that of the average dragon.[/i] Before you can ask more about it, he scurries away, but shortly comes back with a registry in hand. They will liven up your lair for sure, so if you want some energy, you gotta get one of these guys! The ones with Firefly are more common and also more mellow than their Glimmer counterparts. I know what I'm talking about, a Glimmer boy is in our lair. He has enough energy for ten dragons, I think...[/i] Noticing that he got a bit off-track, Farodin coughs and flashes you a smile. [i]Nonetheless, I would encourage you to get one of these guys into your clan, they are fun to have around! Hm? If Vipera variants also differ from their Savannah counterparts? No, not really. I should know what I am talking about, I am one of them.[/i] He grins and begins to talk more about this variant of the Kites. [i]As the name says, Elegant Kites are, well, elegant. They know how they look, that the are great and you should really, really want one. Your lair will instantly look better, I swear! But anyway, yes, they might tend to be a bit arrogant but they as well have a fun side to them. It's just in our blood, I suppose. By the way, Starmap Kites tend to have an especially strong bond to the wind spirit, so they have even more stamina than other Kites, as well as greater magic power! If you should get a Starmap variant in your lair, they could be a stellar mage, I have heard. [i]Well, they are big.[/i] He is silent for a solid minute afterwards. [i]But otherwise also very, very friendly. I guess, if you want a big, cuddly dragon in your lair, they are your go-to! They also tend to be good fighters, though they prefer to protect other dragons. You can really count on them, if you are in a pinch, they will certainly save you! As their name implies, they are the ones to hunt and are most often seen at the frontlines, should enemies appear. They mostly hunt for their own, but they also share their prey, should they be asked for some food. As far as I know, Wild Kites with Capsule genes also use the liquid in their body to blind enemies or their prey! It is quite functional, to be honest. I have also observed, that Wild Kites are very picky when choosing a partner. They seem to care only for the ones with the brightest, clearest liquids should they have Capsule, or for the biggest and sharpest Spines on their body. By the way, should you be unfortunate enough to witness a fight between two suitors, get out of there immediately. It can get a bit rough.[/i][/columns][/center]
