The further in time and space you go from your body's original point the easier it is to get lost so many Walkers stay in a localized time and space near their clans. Depending on the ability of the Walker they can peel back more or less layers of time, or even twist the Deeprealm itself, to see the future or past in a way that suits them. Because the mind and body are separate in the Deeprealm it is possible for the mind to be sent adrift in the Deeprealm or to lose your mind or memories within the Deeprealm. Certain Walkers can also disconnect memories from other Walkers so they become part of the Deeprealm and no longer dwell within the dragon. Along with the mind the Essene (elemental, magical, energy/soul) of the Walker also leaves the body when they dream. This allows dragons to do any magical ability they would do in life in the Deeprealm as well. Many learn quickly to be careful about using magic in the Deeprealm as the elemental magic is the chum for Deeprealm Hunters who will gladly eat a Walker. Death in the Deeprealm doesn't kill your body but it does instantly wake you up and leave you with a long period of creeping dread and a horrible headache that can last days. Some Walkers claim the Hunters eat their memories but there's no proper consensus on what actually happens. As the Deeprealm is a dream reality Walkers can also travel great distances and visit each other's or other dragon's dreams. Unless they are a Walker themself it's unlikely a dragon will remember the dream they had with a Walker regardless of the power ability. And then Reshaar came along. A common eyed Walker of immense power who's visions so plagued him he blinded himself in both eyes and dumped his memory of what he had done in the Deeprealm. Now an amnesiac and blind Reshaar had to relearn what the Deeprealm was and what he could do with it. He met other Walkers in the Deeprealm, many who were often lost, like he was, and vowed to make a map of the Deeprealm. Where others had failed Reshaar succeeded. The Deeprealm

The Deeprealm is an ancient place of myth, legend. It doesn’t actually exist. But any Seer will tell you it does and if you listen to the ramblings of the oldest Water Seers they will speak of it in the softest whispers. It is a place where magic becomes twisted and things do not move in lines.

Rather they bend and twist and join and break apart without reason. It lies in a place of dreams. But it is a real place. Down in the bottom of the deepest pits where not even the Tidelord's great Leviathans will go. Where the sea is blacker than night. A place where dream is reality and ancient things of old magic that survived the Arcanist’s destructive birth still dwell. Chasers of nightmare and larger than any dragon. They are not made of the dragon gods and call no thing their master. They are the hunters there and they guard the secrets of the Deeprealm jealously from wandering Walkers who dream of their landscape.

The Deeprealm is another reality, right next to the one of Sorienth, where only a thin veil separates them. It is a place of dreams and visions but is indeed a place you may visit. Walkers may enter the Deeprealm only in their sleep but some variants may view the Deeprealm all the time.

Within the Deeprealm time and space are not linear or tend to make much sense. When Walkers describe the Deeprealm it is a place where the moons appear in every phase all at once, the sun is in every position in the sky. It is both night and day at the same time and every season all at once. Space also moves differently and a small walk can take you across continents and time or you can walk a great distance and move feet from your origin point. It is almost impossible to not get lost in the Deeprealm and so Guides are encouraged for going far from your body.

Deeprealm Walkers

Dragon visitors to the Deeprealm. They are not born of the Deeprealm but are rather Seers who can visit the Deeprealm in their dreams. No one is quite sure what makes a dragon be born as a Walker and as such they can be any dragon or color imaginable. Within the Deeprealm they are separated from their bodies but they cannot be killed within the Deeprealm.

But if you have regular interactions with a Walker in your dreams it is possible to learn to remember.

The Map

Because the Deeprealm is a place of constantly changing time and space it is very difficult to get anywhere in the Deeprealm or get to the same place again or even get back to your body. Because of that many Walkers have tried to figure out a way to map the Deeprealm. Most give up within a few days, realizing they can't adequately display time in a two dimensional plane.

He successfully created a map of the Deeprealm. Other dragons had gone about it all wrong. They tried to make it a two dimensional thing in the reality of Sorienth. The map only exists within the Deeprealm and is the only one of its kind.

News got out about the map and what it could mean for other Walkers. Many Walkers now hunt for the map though its location is unknown. Reshaar seemingly vanished some time ago, along with his map. Unknown to other hunters of the map it is in the possession of Rahila, a Guide. Why or how she acquired it, or why she would need it is still a mystery. Many Walkers would, quite literally, kill for the Map and some Walkers have even lost their lives in the hunt for it, be it lost to the time, unable to find their bodies again, or being killed by another Walker also seeking the map.

Denizens of the Deeprealm

Walkers are visitors within the Deeprealm. But there are natives to the Deeprealm. Things that truly call the Deeprealm home.

The most pressing are Hunters. Every Walker knows a Hunter and knows they are incredibly dangerous. They look like Sorienth Spiney Whales but thrice as large and blood thirsty with gigantic mouths that swallow anything that could even be considered a meal whole. They hunt in small pods and their songs can be heard from years away. Walkers fear the sound of a Hunter and while not immediately life threatening no one really likes being eaten.

Deeprealm Leviathans get a bad reputation among some Walkers. Huge, semi draconic beasts dark as night and often look like an entire star field passing over the sky. They can fly but no one is quite sure how. Larger even than Hunters they are the Hunters' only predator but not without Hunters putting up a fight. Leviathans are mostly harmless to Walkers unless a Walker purposefully antagonizes a Leviathan.

The most serene and calming of the Deeprealm denizens are the Watchers. Strange, beautifully horrifying, and covered in eyes Watchers are gentle creatures of the Deeprealm. It's unsure what exactly their purpose in the Deeprealm is, or even their abilities. They can be found in all times and space, further back than Leviathans or Hunters which leads some Walkers to believe they are the original denizens of the Deeprealm. Watchers will sometimes appear in draconic forms but sometimes not. Their shapes are nebulous and some claim they are never the same appearance each time you look at them. The only constant is their eyes. They have so many, many, eyes.

The Dreaming Fog

The most dangerous thing about being a Walker or having one in your clan is the Fog. The longer a Walker is asleep the thinner the curtain between the realities become. This causes the Deeprealm to bleed over into Sorienth. When this happens a thick fog envelopes the entire area around the Walker and is both Sorienth and the Deeprealm.

Because of the mixing of realities things from the Deeprealm can slip through into Sorienth. Often times they are Hunters and Leviathans. Sometimes a Watcher can also pass through the veil. Hunters and Leviathans can not survive long outside of the Deeprealm but Watchers don't have the same problem. Watchers can also create the Fog themselves to pass between Sorienth and the Deeprealm at their leisure. No one is sure how they do this or why they don't do it more often.

The rate of Fog is directly proportional to the power of the Walker and the amount of time they are in the Deeprealm. The longer they sleep the more Fog there is, and the more powerful they are the quicker it appears. A night's sleep is not enough to trigger the Fog but prolonged sleep. As such Primal Walkers are usually surrounded by thick clouds of Fog that should be avoided at all costs lest they wish to be devoured, for real, by a Deeprealm Hunter.

Because genes or colors don't play as heavy a factor into what makes a Walker, eye type instead dictates the variants of Deeprealm Walkers. Traditional Variants [columns] [nextcol] Common/Uncommon The 'bread and butter' of the Walkers. While the most common they are no less powerful than their more rare eyed brethren. Because their eye type does not distort the way they perceive the Deeprealm the way rarer eye types can they are often the most powerful instead. They can freely walk across the Deeprealm but may be prone to getting lost. A Guide is advised to come and assist in any far walks away from their body. [/columns] [br] [columns] [nextcol] Unusual/Rare Because of the greater amount of elemental energy within them that caused their eyes to change dramatically they are more keen to be Guides than all other Walker variants. Unusual/Rare eyed Deeprealm Walkers tend to be significantly less powerful than other variants with rather middling abilities save for the fact that unlike most Walkers they always know where and when they are in the Deeprealm. That makes their powers incredibly valuable to denizens or visitors of the Deeprealm who don't want to get lost in the twisting time. [/columns] [br] [columns] [nextcol] Goat/Innocent Elemental energies have begun to distort and warp the eye of the Deeprealm Walker. This causes them to view the Deeprealm differently than others. Goat and Innocent eyed Walkers tend to view things more laterally than other Walkers. Meaning their visions cover great distances if not time. Because of the shape of their pupils they're able to see large portions of the Deeprealm but have difficulty getting into the fine details. [/columns] [br] [columns] [nextcol] Facet/Swirl These dragons have been in the Deeprealm since before their eggs even hatched. In the nest these Walkers would dream while still in their eggs. The energies of the Deeprealm greatly affected their sight, both in their born reality and the Deeprealm. These dragons thus see the world both as reality and the Deeprealm, at the same time. This often leads to them often blinding themselves in one or both eyes, depending on the severity of the bleeding of vision. Less extreme measures is a simple blindfold. [/columns] [br] [columns] [nextcol] Darkened/Glowing Because these eye types are unnatural it leads many dragons with these eyes to have a very distorted view of the flow of time and what they can see within the Deeprealm. They exist in a harmonious state of opposition to one another. Darkened sight will only see the worst outcome of a timeline, while glowing will only see the best outcome. Both have merit for Walkers as it allows them to correct for these worst/best outcomes to ensure it does/doesn't happen. Often times Darkened and Glowing Walkers will See in pairs so they may know both extremes of a situation at once. [/columns] [br] [columns] [nextcol] Multigaze One would think their many eyes would allow them the greatest insight to the Deeprealm and its visions. The truth would not be further from it. Each set of eyes sees a different future in the same scene, often driving them mad, or at the very least out of the Deeprealm. Because of their similarities to Watchers it's thought that Walkers with multigaze are either Watchers born out of the Deeprealm by accident, or the Deeprealm trying to bridge over into the world of Sorienth with less than spectacular results. [/columns] [br] [columns] [nextcol] Primal For 'pure' futures you seek out a Primal Walker. They are rarely awake and often times will only meet with someone in the Deeprealm, making their prophecies extremely difficult to hear. They can see the full breadth of time of themselves and anyone or thing they care to look at. Because of this they find the reality of Sorienth to be too pedestrian and boring to live through. They seek excitement and improbability within the Deeprealm where time has the option to be changed or shifted as it doesn't in 'reality'. [/columns] Deeprealm Beasts Unlike Traditional Deeprealm Walkers the true natives of the Deeprealm have a much stricter set of criteria to be able to claim themselves as one. They hunt Hunters and are known to stalk the fields of time looking for prey. They are dragonoid in appearance but are not dragons themselves. Rather they take the appearance of dragons because the Deeprealm is so closely linked with Sorienth and dragons are the apex species of the world. They do not hunt Walkers as they find the seers not challenging enough for a hunt. They are highly intelligent and often work in groups to take on their favorite prey: Deeprealm Hunters. They cannot survive long outside of the Deeprealm and sometimes their bodies are found like dead whales in places where the fog is thick and dreams seep in. neutralvs1.png Denizen Variants and Beasts

Denizens of the Deeprealm is more of a lore subspecies than a classic subspecies. Because genes or colors don't play as heavy a factor into what makes a Walker, eye type instead dictates the variants of Deeprealm Walkers.

Traditional Variants
61101c4a7b7d7ce0a109e36e34c7754f932f7601.png Common/Uncommon
The 'bread and butter' of the Walkers.

3567fd325d7dae3d067bf970e03cda2b63b2543a.png Unusual/Rare
Because of the greater amount of elemental energy within them that caused their eyes to change dramatically they are more keen to be Guides than all other Walker variants.

078e6219a3632591e98a8326f19230a480ced660.png Goat/Innocent
Elemental energies have begun to distort and warp the eye of the Deeprealm Walker.

5b4d44833977a1b0193ba68a4edf3d0dec182d07.png Facet/Swirl
These dragons have been in the Deeprealm since before their eggs even hatched.

746e881d02c156ac48de9e4f5f9f0dde072bbd6e.png Darkened/Glowing
Because these eye types are unnatural it leads many dragons with these eyes to have a very distorted view of the flow of time and what they can see within the Deeprealm.

13f6ea1becfe65ead2a63889844dee3154de418d.png Multigaze
One would think their many eyes would allow them the greatest insight to the Deeprealm and its visions.

4f8c470132f026d012a4dba5a516c930da1a0c8c.png Primal
For 'pure' futures you seek out a Primal Walker.

Deeprealm Beasts

Unlike Traditional Deeprealm Walkers the true natives of the Deeprealm have a much stricter set of criteria to be able to claim themselves as one.

Leviathans
Color Scheme: XXX or XXY only
Colors: Abyss, pthahlo, or obsidian only
Genes: Skink/Spin, Star/Const, Alloy/Met in any combination. Any tertiary.
Breeds: Imperials, Guardians, Bogsneaks, Snappers, Ridgebacks
Element: Plague, Water, Earth, Arcane, Light
Eyes: Common, uncommon, unusual, rare

a4882b60a8fee02fe6a981105294f77aa136576c.png

Deeprealm Leviathans are the apex predators of the Deeprealm.

Watchers
Colors: Any
Genes: Any
Breeds: Any

Watchers are a benevolent denizen of the Deeprealm. No one is quite sure what they are for as they don't eat or speak. They are extremely kind and gentle creatures that like Primal Walkers can see the full scope of time with their many eyes. They often stay to themselves and can be seen wandering the Deeprealm looking for times or dragons in need of their help. They are sometimes draconic in shape and sometimes they are not.

Deeprealm Born
Color Scheme: XXX, XXY, XYY, XYX, XYZ
Colors: Any
Genes: Any
Breeds: Any
Element: Any
Eyes: Any except Common

To register as a Deeprealm Born the dragon must have a full or partial accent/skin coverage of an arcane/space/time/otherworldly theme. Small accents not allowed and must cover a large portion of the dragon (for rule of thumb, if it doesn't cover almost the entire wing, it probably isn't enough).
