Denizen Variants and Beasts
|
Denizens of the Deeprealm is more of a lore subspecies than a classic subspecies. Because genes or colors don't play as heavy a factor into what makes a Walker, eye type instead dictates the variants of Deeprealm Walkers.
Traditional Variants
|
Common/Uncommon
The 'bread and butter' of the Walkers. While the most common they are no less powerful than their more rare eyed brethren. Because their eye type does not distort the way they perceive the Deeprealm the way rarer eye types can they are often the most powerful instead. They can freely walk across the Deeprealm but may be prone to getting lost. A Guide is advised to come and assist in any far walks away from their body.
|
|
Unusual/Rare
Because of the greater amount of elemental energy within them that caused their eyes to change dramatically they are more keen to be Guides than all other Walker variants. Unusual/Rare eyed Deeprealm Walkers tend to be significantly less powerful than other variants with rather middling abilities save for the fact that unlike most Walkers they always know where and when they are in the Deeprealm. That makes their powers incredibly valuable to denizens or visitors of the Deeprealm who don't want to get lost in the twisting time.
|
|
Goat/Innocent
Elemental energies have begun to distort and warp the eye of the Deeprealm Walker. This causes them to view the Deeprealm differently than others. Goat and Innocent eyed Walkers tend to view things more laterally than other Walkers. Meaning their visions cover great distances if not time. Because of the shape of their pupils they're able to see large portions of the Deeprealm but have difficulty getting into the fine details.
|
|
Facet/Swirl
These dragons have been in the Deeprealm since before their eggs even hatched. In the nest these Walkers would dream while still in their eggs. The energies of the Deeprealm greatly affected their sight, both in their born reality and the Deeprealm. These dragons thus see the world both as reality and the Deeprealm, at the same time. This often leads to them often blinding themselves in one or both eyes, depending on the severity of the bleeding of vision. Less extreme measures is a simple blindfold.
|
|
Darkened/Glowing
Because these eye types are unnatural it leads many dragons with these eyes to have a very distorted view of the flow of time and what they can see within the Deeprealm. They exist in a harmonious state of opposition to one another. Darkened sight will only see the worst outcome of a timeline, while glowing will only see the best outcome. Both have merit for Walkers as it allows them to correct for these worst/best outcomes to ensure it does/doesn't happen. Often times Darkened and Glowing Walkers will See in pairs so they may know both extremes of a situation at once.
|
|
Multigaze
One would think their many eyes would allow them the greatest insight to the Deeprealm and its visions. The truth would not be further from it. Each set of eyes sees a different future in the same scene, often driving them mad, or at the very least out of the Deeprealm. Because of their similarities to Watchers it's thought that Walkers with multigaze are either Watchers born out of the Deeprealm by accident, or the Deeprealm trying to bridge over into the world of Sorienth with less than spectacular results.
|
|
Primal
For 'pure' futures you seek out a Primal Walker. They are rarely awake and often times will only meet with someone in the Deeprealm, making their prophecies extremely difficult to hear. They can see the full breadth of time of themselves and anyone or thing they care to look at. Because of this they find the reality of Sorienth to be too pedestrian and boring to live through. They seek excitement and improbability within the Deeprealm where time has the option to be changed or shifted as it doesn't in 'reality'.

Deeprealm Beasts
Unlike Traditional Deeprealm Walkers the true natives of the Deeprealm have a much stricter set of criteria to be able to claim themselves as one.
Leviathans
Color Scheme: XXX or XXY only
Colors: Abyss, pthahlo, or obsidian only
Genes: Skink/Spin, Star/Const, Alloy/Met in any combination. Any tertiary.
Breeds: Imperials, Guardians, Bogsneaks, Snappers, Ridgebacks
Element: Plague, Water, Earth, Arcane, Light
Eyes: Common, uncommon, unusual, rare
Deeprealm Leviathans are the apex predators of the Deeprealm. They hunt Hunters and are known to stalk the fields of time looking for prey. They are dragonoid in appearance but are not dragons themselves. Rather they take the appearance of dragons because the Deeprealm is so closely linked with Sorienth and dragons are the apex species of the world. They do not hunt Walkers as they find the seers not challenging enough for a hunt. They are highly intelligent and often work in groups to take on their favorite prey: Deeprealm Hunters. They cannot survive long outside of the Deeprealm and sometimes their bodies are found like dead whales in places where the fog is thick and dreams seep in.
Watchers
Colors: Any
Genes: Any
Breeds: Any
Element: Any
Eyes: Multi-gaze ONLY
To register as a Watcher the dragon must wear a full skin. No parts of dragon colors are to be visible (line breaking genes modern genes are allowed (firefly, gembond, spines). Ancient line breaking genes not allowed.)
Watchers are a benevolent denizen of the Deeprealm. No one is quite sure what they are for as they don't eat or speak. They are extremely kind and gentle creatures that like Primal Walkers can see the full scope of time with their many eyes. They often stay to themselves and can be seen wandering the Deeprealm looking for times or dragons in need of their help. They are sometimes draconic in shape and sometimes they are not.
Deeprealm Born
Color Scheme: XXX, XXY, XYY, XYX, XYZ
Colors: Any
Genes: Any
Breeds: Any
Element: Any
Eyes: Any
except Common
To register as a Deeprealm Born the dragon must have a full or partial accent/skin coverage of an arcane/space/time/otherworldly theme. Small accents not allowed and must cover a large portion of the dragon (for rule of thumb, if it doesn't cover almost the entire wing, it probably isn't enough).
Deeprealm Born Walkers are a very rare sort. They are dragons who's nests are laid and hatched by their parents within the Deeprealm. As such they can only be made by other Walkers. Unlike other Traditional variants they do not suffer from the effects of different eyes and may be either uncommon-rare or primal in ability regardless of actual eye type.
Classic Variant
Color Scheme: XXY only
Colors: Any
Genes: Any
Breeds: Any
Element: Any
Eyes: Any
except multigaze
Other: Cannot have a Deeprealm Leviathan color scheme and/or genes
Classic Deeprealm Walkers are how the subspecies originated. To qualify as a Classic you must be XXY and colors must be complimentary. Dark colors only, no pastels, eye burners, or pale colors permitted. Bright tertiaries are permitted if they compliment the primary/secondary.
There is no additional lore for the Classic Variant other than their specific eye type.
