WELL ARENT YOU IN LUCK I LOVE NAMING THINGS-
First things first, in case you would like to look at where I’m getting the names from I’m using a website called
babble.com which is my go to even though it hasn’t been updated in a long time. I also like using Google Translate and taking basic words and translating them into Greek or Latin. I also just google names based off of colors or looks! Cheap tricks but they work.
The first dragon reminds me of copper so I went to Google Translate and translated the word copper into both Latin and Greek! Please keep in mind these could be completely incorrect though. The Latin one gave me the name
Aeris and the greek one gave me the name
Xαλκ?ς (chalkós). Personally I think the second one is cooler.
The pirate nocturne boy really has some personality so I would look up famous pirates and tweak their names just a bit. Good names for the nocturne could be
Bastian, Caspian, Caspar, Declan or Adriaticus. The last one is a stretch but I think it needed to be included.
The Guardian with the toxin gene or whatever it is (I can nevertheless remember) is a little complicated in both color scheme and genes for me so I recommend thinking about what personality he has and name him based off of that!
Adir (powerful and mighty) might be a good one.
The Bogsneak you have as dragon #4 is quite beautiful and I love their colorings. Personally I would go for a name based off colors or personality traits that can relate to darkness. Names I might go for with this dragon include
Corbin (little crow) or maybe Nabhas (a person who resembles the sky).
For the mirror dragon that’s blue and red, go for something fun or sparky. I don’t know, she just gives off this good Caravan Palace vibe. Maybe name her after a good band that has some cool songs.
NAME IDEAS RELATED TO SOME COOL SONGS:
- Lone Digger
Raimondeau (Last name of Victor Raimondeau from Caravan Palace), Abaddon (Destruction)
- The Other Side of Paradise
Elysian (relating to or characteristic of heaven or paradise)
- Dream Sweet in Sea Major
Arabesque (Fanciful, edging toward bizarre.)
As for our lovely red nocturne, the name
Rubrum is a translation of the word red in latin. I don’t have many ideas there.
Now, before I begin I would just like to say that you’re traveling merchant is absolutely gorgeous. His color scheme is beautiful and I’m so happy he simply exists. Anyway, names for that child would most likely have to do a little bit with adventure or wildlife. Or maybe just being wild. I don’t have any names for him but that’s my idea. Maybe name him after a book about adventure?
Odyssey? Iliad?
NAME IDEAS
- Arden (enthusiastic)
- Lorcan (little fierce one)
- Wilder
Now this fae boy really speaks to me as well. He is stunning all in all and reminds me of cool myths and legends. He looks like a fairy tale. Good names for him might include things from fairy tales such as
Avalon, Siren or other names like those.
And finally, our last lovely dragon. To match this dragons poise and simplicity I recommend a name as simple as it is. Maybe even just a word like
Monotone. Maybe shorten that to
Mono or Tone or I don’t know. Other names that it might include could be stuff like
Gray or Median.
Anyway that’s all I got for now. I might come back later and edit this, adding more names instead of tips. I’m just on my phone right now and it’s dying so I need to submit this before it’s not so sweet surrender
ALRIGHT FOLLOW UP TIME. ALL THE NAMES ARE IN BOLD!
