[i]Just felt like going through my favorite dragon (Bodhi)'s paternal lineage and I went all the way back to him: [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=119678] [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/1197/119678_350.png[/img] [/url] a snapper from 2013, with a LIGHT SPRITE as his familiar a gen 1 snapper made my beautiful baby boy have any of you ever done this, just to see where it took you? (if you wanna try it I suggest choosing either paternal or maternal to keep it kind of narrowed)

i love trying to follow a dragon's lineage to find out where he got his breed from (like which ancestor got changed to a skydancer to make him a skydancer) and sometimes i go up my imperials' lineage to find the g1 imp they came from--usually a very nice looking dragon with good apparel and familiars

I one day decided to track [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=453761&tab=dragon&did=51527248]Ambras[/url]' ancestry as he supposedly had 'royal blood' and I wanted to record his ancestors lore/what hatchery they came from! He is descended from this pretty XXY gen one! (probably a progen!) [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=33996] [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/340/33996_350.png[/img] [/url] and this other gen one! (also probably a progen!) [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=33995] [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/340/33995_350.png[/img] [/url] The earliest bogsneak I can find is this charming dude called NomNom! It seems his sanguine skink has lasted several generations! They share the same genes, colours and breed, only difference being eyetype [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=49120348] [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/491204/49120348_350.png[/img] [/url] Following his father's line, the earliest fully-gened dragon I can find is [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/794804]this[/url] guy and his mother's is [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=view&id=36335&tab=dragon&did=2187579]this girl[/url]! Certainly a very interesting family tree

I don't often do this, but my most recent dragon Murkmane, I wanted to see if his parents were still around ... but both were exalted. So I followed his mother, and then kept going with fathers... until I finished at the Gen1 Yolo.

... fitting enough for a treasure hunter I suppose? Haha.

Out of curiosity, I ended up going through [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=270904&tab=dragon&did=19850864]Bamboozle's[/url] lineage and on her paternal side, I found this nicely-dressed lad: [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=9016011][img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/90161/9016011_350.png[/img][/url] As for her mothers side... [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?p=view&id=25062&tab=dragon&did=658836][img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/6589/658836_350.png[/img][/url] Interesting to see how she and all of her ancestors stayed roughly within the bluegreen, pink, and yellow/orange-range when it comes to their primary/secondary/tertiary colors. Bamboozle's also the only one between both lines who doesn't have a Circuit tert! Though granted, I rather like how Ghost looks on her~

What I didn't know is that, following only the paternal line, Augustus was also the introduction of yellow range terts. His dad was a triple Indigo guardian. Even more surprising is that after [i]him[/i] the lineage blurs into one massive line of purple Imperials, mostly consisting of triple Royals. Including another one named Augustus. Then, after what feels like an eternity of purple Imperials, out of nowhere, a Sky/Storm/Platinum Tiger/Shimmer/Basic Wildclaw, so obviously the Imperial blood came from the maternal side on that generation. The Wildclaw's father in turn is a triple basic Fae. And then his dad finally takes us back to gen1, as another triple basic Fae from June 2013. No apparel, no skin, no familiar. Kinda boring. On a whim, I decided to follow the maternal line from the first of those many purple Imperials (the one whose dad was a Wildclaw), since that's clearly where the interesting stuff enters the family. Two generations back I come to a gen1 Imperial with a neat Elder Scrolls based name, genes, apparel, a bio, the whole nine yards. And it looks like the lair's still active!
