Rift is our clan healer. They work in tandem, koa using his plague magic to recognize and diagnose disease, and Rift using her arcane magic to heal it.

He's called Leander and he's the gentle doormat type; even when anyone (mostly the higher-ups) treats him horribly, he treats them with respect and kindness and never snaps at anyone. He has some notes in his bio but other than that, he's lore-less.

He's a bit prickly but very good at his job. No one wants to inflict Haelan on the hatchlings if it's not necessary! She has a remarkable knowledge of herbs, and even Haelan recognizes that she's better than him when it comes to many diseases - although their relationship had a bit of a rough start (it took him a while to admit that someone not professionally trained at an official university could possibly know anything). She also does curses as well as cures. Although her solution to 'something hurts' is 'would you like me to replace it? Are you particular about the species?' You may or may not still have a heartbeat and a full set of internal organs when she's done (but did you really need all of those to begin with?). Now that I look at it, that's quite a few medical professionals (and unprofessionals). But my clan is a decent size and also gets a lot of travelers passing through.
