Wow, did you hatch him? A dragon with two of the same colors hatched from an egg is very rare! The Tertiary color is only seen when you add a Tertiary gene. Take his ID number and go to the Scrying Workshop -> Predict Morphology to see what the different genes would look like.

@Tapewormish Hello! Welcome to FR :) I don't really think there is a stem apparel but maybe a tundra skin exists out there for the stem? Also the tert doesn't change anything until you start adding genes.

To add genes, you get the gene (buy it from MP, buy from a player, brew in Baldwin's cauldron, trade with swipp or have it drop in the coli; depends on the gene) then click on it in your hoard. Then you select the dragon you want to apply the gene to.
This can be expensive, but very fun.
