For anyone confused by the lore update (as I was; it's been a long time since the last NotN theme week so I didn't remember much) it's somewhat of a continuation of past years' theme week stories.

2017: Trickster
2018: Bound to Mimic

In case anyone wanted more context about who Thana is and all that! Obviously none of it's canon and none of it was linked in the post so you can make up whatever backstory you want, but this provides some context at least.

@TsarinaTorment DA-da-da-DAAAH, da-da-DA-da-da-da-da-da-da-daaaaaah :D

I have to say I think that's a fairly weird fandragon concept (prolly because I only remember the ancient 60s puppet version... also please tell me they kept the theme tune cos otherwise my first comment made NO SENSE...). However, that was really well written and I enjoyed it?!

@RemanLT I also enjoyed your writing (although Thana got a bit cheesy-villain there... "Your powers are no match for me?" Oh dear. *giggles*) I thought your intro was neat too, introducing each character in a paragraph along with their image. It could have been clunky but it flowed really well!

@talyra yup, same theme, near enough! (I grew up on the original series, too, but the remake is just... easier? to make dragons of, somehow. I have to say, some of the changes they made for 2015 were really good, though others not so much *cries at Tin-Tin and Penelope* I know they were trying to fix the '60s sexism but they really didn't pitch these two right for me, but when you're dealing with a series that brilliant you can't expect them to get it all perfect)

Honestly I just made fandragons of them 'cause I like the characters... turning it into lore is a much harder challenge (how do I keep the Thunderbirds as 'birds rather than characters... whilst also making them characters?) and this was really my first foray into writing for them. I have many little things to iron out (such as how they've come to be dragons - just an AU version or dimension hopping/forced transformation shenanigans, and if the latter, how they've adapted), but once I've got the whole set that's something I'm definitely going to spend more time with.

Gushing about the series aside (I so rarely find anyone that knows it on the internet, I get excited when I do, sorry!) I'm really glad you enjoyed the story! I'm really happy with how it came out, especially with challenges like including Five and the whole fandragon concept, so I'm delighted someone likes it enough to take the time to tell me so!

@talyra

Thanks! Yeah, maybe Thana did get a bit over the top there. But I guess it kind of made sense to me, given that she's got an army of Mimics under her control.
