Dragon Share

I’m not a huge fan of ridgebacks, guardians, and snappers but I want to be. Could you share some images of these breeds so I could get more of a feel for them?

i'm a big fan of ridgies! they may not be the pretties, but they are the edgiest, and some things just look excellent on them! also the female pose looks dignified and capable (I dislike all other female poses lol) while the male pose just looks real happy. but in an adorably evil way, I love it. ----- industry lad. looks like a flagrant capitalist. It just so happens that I like Ridgebacks, Guardians, and Snappers quite a bit, so I'll do my best to help contribute to possibly expanding them as an option for you in the future. :) I apologize for the long post this is going to be, but I'll try to make it less boring with a little tidbit about each one. [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/448530/44852940_350.png[/img] Linus is my clan's hunter/herder, and I'm a huge fan of how the clumped lines of the wolf cape go along with the clumped lines of his three genes--and of how the Thylacine sort of continues the look of his back spines even in the spots they can't be seen. [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/455494/45549309_350.png[/img] The only G1 double I've ever hatched myself, and a birthday present from my husband at that. I love him dearly. [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/535365/53536435_350.png[/img] I'm very fond of XYZ dragons that coordinate well, and Dryleaf was so soft and gently nature-y that I couldn't let her pass me by. I like to think she's brawny enough to handle chopping away at dragon-sized cuts of meat for prepping dinner! It's something that leaner (Mirrors) or smaller-winged (Spirals) dragons can struggle with sometimes. [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/81789/8178863_350.png[/img] Fun fact about Snappers: They are [i]excellent[/i] for getting to see expanded details on clothes pieces. You know those tiny teardrop pieces you can't see for heck or high water on some of the others? You can definitely see them on a Snapper! That stitching you have to squint at on a Fae? It's bold as day on a Snapper's clothes. If you like a piece of clothing, put it on a Snapper in the dressing room and it'll increase your appreciation for the artists' work even more. [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/29611/2961086_350.png[/img] Another thing about Guardians is that, like Wildclaws, their huge block space of a body means they're a good canvas for just absolutely filling a skin with content. You can get some really pretty things for a Guardian if you go looking around. [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/551405/55140470_350.png[/img] The patterns, Duke! The patternnnnns! [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/552333/55233260_350.png[/img] Ridgebacks may have a silly nose, but it helps add to their imposing image when you just can't get another breed to pull off that Danger, Will Robinson feeling. If you need a threatening dragon, and fast, they're your breed. [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/551405/55140469_350.png[/img] This boy isn't anything too special. I just wanted to include him because he's a Guardian with a Paper Guardian Masque on and I will never not find that funny. [img]https://flightrising.com/rendern/350/558318/55831710_350.png[/img] I'm just saying: If you like Trail as a gene, Ridgebacks have got it down. You absolutely will not be squinting at the details and trying to figure out which colors are part of the pattern. They're also oddly good for wooly antennae and sylvan headpieces. I'm serious. Fiddle with those. It's worth it.

i can agree with you on male ridgies, but females are awesome. the expression can be explained with interisting lore, the body porportions make for interisting outfits, and the posture just...matches.
